Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to stream 2013 Golden Ticket Awards

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. ?????? The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will host the 2013 Golden Ticket Awards on September 6 and 7, 2013. Presented by trade newspaper Amusement Today, the private, two-day event for amusement industry professionals recognizes the ??????best of the best?????? in the amusement industry.

In addition to the Golden Ticket Awards ceremony and dinner at the Boardwalk??????s Cocoanut Grove, the two-day event includes a welcome reception, behind-the-scenes tour, and a bowling fundraiser for the National Roller Coaster Museum.

Beginning at approximately 6 p.m. PDT on September 7, 2013, the public can watch the Golden Ticket Awards streaming live online at http://new.livestream.com/scbb/2013gta.

The annual Golden Ticket Awards are the amusement industry??????s equivalent of the Oscars, with amusement park owners and managers, ride manufacturers, and other industry officials gathering to salute the industry??????s top parks. Winners were selected by amusement park enthusiasts, voting from around the world.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has won a Golden Ticket Award for Best Seaside Park for the past six years. The Boardwalk??????s 1911 Looff Carousel has placed 2nd in the Best Carousel category for several years.
