If anyone happened to try Flickr as a replacement for NLDC, I made a NoLimits group pool which is basically a place to put loose photos of anything NoLimits related, whether it be under construction photos or "artsy" photos.

Alas, my cyclic hobby schedule has just been coming back around to roller coasters and now I learn that two of my primary sites have shut down while I was away. It's a damn shame.

I certainly can't blame you though RiscIt, since I program websites for my RL job I know full well that even 'coasting' along in maintenance mode a website with active users is an amazing time suck. Thank you so much for putting up with it for so long.

And here's to hoping the new NL release provides you with enough incentive to bring it back up :)

Now I have to go and create my own promotional pages for my coasters. Sigh.
Be sure you're not looking in a mirror before you start pointing fingers.

Hey guys, it's good to see some familiar faces about the place. I've been working on this stuff with my free time lately http://www.twilightfair.com/JeffsProjects/XNADevelopment.shtml.

But as I mentioned above I've been pulling up Calamity Jane images and getting an itch to do some work on her recently, so maybe you'll see a post in the Hard Hat area in not too long. I'd like to get it out sometime before the new NL hits, or I'll end up spending another year or two adding new features to it [:D].

Does it make me a bad person if I'm 1000 times more interested in the Class C Shay I just found on your youtube page than I am in your coaster projects? [;)]

Hell no, if I could make that my full time hobby I would. We've got two parks in California that regularly run Shays, Heislers or Climaxes but they're too far away from where I live for volunteering to be a hobby and so far my attempts to convince my wife that we need a live steam model railroad in our backyard (we've just about enough room for a figure 8) have not been, shall we say, successful.

Virtual roller coasters are more exciting than virtual railroads. This is probably why I focus on mine trains so much. If you don't have the heat and the sound and the steam in your face then you're just taking a slow trip through some scenery. Not very exciting unless you're really into rout scheduling and stock car manipulation.
