Hey Coaster Crazy members,
It has been quite some time since I have been on this site, and at one point I was on here about twice everyday, because this forum has great members and always drove me back. Unfortuantly I have been off the site for probably a year or so. I remeber that this forum had members who were full of knowledge and that is why I have come back.

I am looking into buying a new laptop computer and I wanted your guy's opinion to help me with my future decision. I currently own a eMachines T3025 which I bought on April 15th 2004. Yeah I know 2004 this baby is ancient.

Anyways I was wondering if this Toshiba laptop was any good, I am seriously thinking about buying it in the next few days. The model number is A505-S6965 and here is a link to a full page description of it http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/retail-product.jsp?poid=443164

Here are the specs of it

Intel????????? Core?????????2 Duo Processor P7350 2.0 GHZ
4Gb DDR2 Ram 800 mhz
ATI????????? Mobility Radeon????????? HD 4570 W/ 512 MB Dedicated
500 GB HDD
Free Upgrade to Windows 7 Home Prem

This laptop is on sell for $749.99 @ Best Buy and I am just curious if you would all agree if this is a good deal and a quality laptop or if I should look somewhere else. Also how would No Limits work on this computer? The Sims 3?

Please post your opinions I will give thought to all of them.

The Sims 3; http://www.infinitesims.com/news/1383-s ... unced.html

And no limits has very low requirements so you will be able to run it ;http://www.nolimitscoaster.com/Order/order.html (the requirements on the that page)

A few friends @school use Toshiba laptops and the are very positive. and it sounds like a good deal,

Sims 3 Wouldnt be a problem, i've seen it run on less, don't expect super high settings or something but you should be able to run it at medium atleast.

I have a Toshiba and I have never had any issues with it. NL runs fine on it; depending on how 3d heavy the track is. The Sims 3 also runs fine on my Toshiba.

I have a Satellite A305-S6905.

I have no experience with ATI cards, but I can agree with everybody else that Toshiba makes really good laptops. I just bought one of their cheap ones too, and NL works okay on it. Mine has the intel graphics card, so the one you are looking at should do much better so long as there are no problems with the ATI graphics drivers. You should probably do a google search for reviews on the graphics card you mention to see if there are any current compatibility issues with it.

The GPU is around for a while now so most problems should be solved thru drivers

So are ATI graphics better than Nvidia? Or is it in the eye of the beholder? Also I had no idea what a GPU was, but I looked it up and it seems to make sense.

Edit: Does No Limits work with Windows Vista / Windows 7 because on the specs for the requirements it says Windows XP
