The Stig.

Wherever the hell I live we usually get this kind of stuff last but saw an episode of Top Gear tonight. Yes the Season 13 episode 1 dilemma.

IMO I really don't know if this is the true deal but the episode definitely creates confusion. I used to believe that the Stig was multiple drivers from F1 to Rally????????? Who believes if this is really the test track racer known only as the Stig? Or if this is a publicity stunt to ensure people hooked to the show for more information.

Its certainly not Michael Schumacher, its just too far-fetched. It was good entertainment though.

nope corse not, th stig is a few diffrent drivers, no one driver can be so skillful in so many disaplins.

the only reason he was there was to drive the FXX as only a handful of people are alowed to drive them which includes the above.

It has also been mentioned in later episodes that he may not be the Stig, has he was seen racing elsewhere when the Stig was on the test track.

Gazag had it right, the only reason Schumacher was there on that day is because Ferrari wouldn't let anyone else drive the FXX, they decided to then play a bit of a joke etc etc.

Are you sure? Arent these episodes all spliced together from SEVERAL different times?

I wouldnt put it beyond the fact that Schumi is ONE of the Stig's. I mean, he has the similar height and build from when weve seen Stig out of the car. He certainly has the talent...best driver ever kind of earns you that.

Gazag, I certainly do think he has the disciplines to drive ALL those different cars. Once youve driven F1 for as long as he has and understand cars like he does, its not that hard. The reason IMO he is so legendary is his understanding of the car underneath him. When he came to Benetton(sp) they were NOTHING! The only reason he won a Championship was his obvious talent and he had an ability to come back into the pits, tell the crew exactly what to change and suddenly the mediocre car was insanely good. Add his legendary talent and voila.

I dont think hes the only one but I definitly think he may be one of the majority we saw driving the faster, better cars. And why not?

They're using him for publicity since he was rumored to be the Stig for quite a long time.

Funny thing is that the viewers of Top Gear really wants to know who the test driver is but also doesn't want him to be revealed. If Jeremy and the guys completely admit the driver?????????s identity, watchers are still unsure. I would have to agree with Real on this one, for all we know Schumacher could actually be him. But then again?????????
