cjd, you made one hell of a difficult template. Thank you. [8D] Dang, my non 3ds skill is gonna cost me some mulla digging under the ferris wheel. What is the cost to move a cubic yard of dirt, so I can get a feel how much I just spent?

And the land cost is more of an estimate than anything, since I really don't know the exact cost. It's not so much based on how much dirt you move, but rather how many man hours it would take to dig up that dirt, and how heavy of equipment you would need to reach far enough. So as it gets deeper, the cost rises exponentially. As it gets longer, it rises proportionally. In any case, I'll guess that in order to dig a 15 ft trench to let the coaster go under the ferris wheel safely, and to re-support the wheel, somewhere around $400,000 sounds reasonable to me. If it were just out in the open, a 15 ft trench would probably be under $100,000 because it's really not that difficult to make. And a tunnel of the same depth, probably about double that because of the need for concrete walls and moving dirt back. If anyone has construction experience, though, feel free to correct me.

So would a ride with around the same amount of wood as El Toro with 2 tunnels be right around 14 mil? lol

I think everyone will go over build cost, imo. You have 30 total points in realism, which only really good NL users can do, bonuses are minimal and 1 point per million is gonna kill everyone. Or just me, lol.

cjd, I'll find out the digging cost from my bro in law. 15ft long by 10ft across is the estimate I'll ask.

Can we build track or place supports in the white area? Im unsure becuase there are not any boundries in that area. Its probably a stupid question, but i just want to make sure im 100 percent certain of the template. Thanks.

BUT, I'm gonna have to hang fire on this one, what with work commitments and the football season starting once again this weekend, I'm not going to be able to enter this time round!

Lol, this contest is forcing me to finally learn hsak the right way.

Also, cjd, You say the trench would only coast about 100,000. What if we run a trench right up to where there would absolutly need to be a tunnel (directly below the ferris wheel) then on the other side of the ferris wheel run another trench. Wouldnt that reduce cost of a normal tunnel alot?

^The tunnel's not the expensive part of that... it's the fact that you have to re-support the ferris wheel in order to go under it.

Yes, though, trenches cost less, and in general the shorter and shallower the coaster goes underground, the cheaper.

What do you mean by resupport? Like would concrete walls do the job fine?

The ride goes beyond where the blue boundary ends. Is this ok to do?

^Looks like you build the whole ride outside the template. You are currently building in the area where only supports are allowed.

If I understand correctly, you can't even cross the red supports.
