I have recently started using Newton after not be active with Nolimits for a bit. There is no problem with in-newton transitions but when in NL Editor there is.

I have built a post-launch element with newton which is great, but when I say make a bend or an up/down hill section the transition between the newton elemnt and the piece of track I lay out there is a exceedingly bad transition.

I was wondering whether there was a way to fix it or just play with it for a while? Or to fix this problem completely by building a top hat in newton, which at the moment seems impossible for me?

I suggest you just keep messing around with it and eventually you'll learn how to use it as effectively as you can.
Screw Commercialism. It's Dr.Gumbo, not CokeZero.

The segment sizes are very different, which is why you have a jerk. Going between a Newton element and a handbuilt piece of track like that is generally a bad idea.

Stitching elements is easy if you pick a good point to do it at. If you choose to do it during a crazy banked turn with lots of G's...gonna be near impossible.

If you choose a straight, non-banked peice of track (or even at the start of a pull up or the crest of an airtime hill) thats perfect and easy. Inbetween radius changes is one of the best places too.

Wait wait. Somewhat confused. Is this talking about that strange banking glitch with Newton? The one where it jerks in and out of the transitions?
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

No, I thought so too, but I think he's just adding an element onto his Newton work (by hand)? Yeah, like DCS and Real said it can be hard to do but it can be easy depending on what you're adding from.

If, however, you're referring to the general stitchy transition work that Newton typically produces, you're just going to have to play with numbers and work your hands at Newton. I haven't seen more than 5 thoroughly and prospectively 'smooth' Newton tracks, so it is hard, but not impossible.

It is possible to get the jerks and bumps out of Newton. Use the smoother tool at 100% when you save the element. It has worked well for me.

Yeah, I've tried it before, and had less than satisfactory results.
