Gold Cup Final - Mexico vs. USA - Great Game!

It was a great game today where Mexico was victorious to take the win for the Gold Cup over USA with a score of 5-0. Anyone else besides me watch it?

Yeah. That was fun for me, I'm not a big fan of Landon Donovan or the rest of the US team (besides Adu he's cool).

its a pointless competition, that's why we fielded a B team today.

no, but that's because everyone stole our game and then got better at it than us! You should all just be nice to us and let us win!

Anyway, as a football fan in general, how many times my country has won the world cup is about the smallest thing I care about. The Euro's are more important to me than that silly tournament. League club based football is where it's at, it's where the most passionate fans are and the most intense games. International matches almost invariably are boring pieces of crap.

0-23-1 lifetime on Mexican soil...pretty bad officiating, not why Mexico won or the US lost, but it was still really inconsistent. It was a good game.

yeah, officiating sucks, it wasn't favorable for either but it was crap.

really? I mean yellows for are stuff that is the same as your non-calls or just fouls. And I bet if one of your players went down and our guy was pulling him up by his neck we'd get a red, or maybe a red for the slap thing he did across our dude's neck. yes im pissed we lost, but am not saying that the ref was biased b/c we lost. hell even if he won i'd say hes one of the worst refs i've seen in years.

You did see the reason why he grabbed him from the neck? I think USA's player action also merits a red in that case. What slap thing you talking about? I didn't see it [:)]
