Well, to make a shuttle coaster, go to the "coaster" tab at the top of your screen, click on it, and go to "settings". on "coaster type", change the operating mode from continous to shuttle. If you want to lay track backwards, use the "add vertex and segment (before start)" button. Once you've made your station, click on the segment, then on the segment settings button. It should open a station segment settings dialog. Now, there will be a "shuttle mode" box on the left hand side of the dialog window. The "number of passes" setting tells the program how many times the train should go through the station before braking. If you want to start with a backwards lift hill or launch, then you can:
1. Slope the station so that the train will roll backwards, and disable the transport device, or
2. In the shuttle mode box, check the box saying "reverse cable lift start"
If you're making the lift hill backwards, go to the lift segment settings and select "reverse cable lift". If you want the train to roll back downwards at the top, like on Boomerang, then check the "release when reaching end" box. Also check this box for a forward lift hill which releases at the end.
If you're using a launch, you might want to select multiple passes.
Hopefully this will help
