Happy Valley shanghai had a soft opening,but Diving Coaster(Dive Machine) Suddenly broken down after 2 hours opening.The moving floor in station can't move so riders can't ride on. because of the metal pen cap from someone's pocket fell into a slot cause a shortcircult,and a hardware was damaged.no people get injured. then the ride closed
all guests that waiting to ride Diving Coaster are disappinted

Hey! Whats up with the ties?! They dip down in the center! I liked the flat tie look on Griffon and Sheikra! Why did they stop doing that?

China's 2 biggest Dive machine's tie are all dip down in the center
and both of them are no Elevator on the lift hill

I doubt that there is really any cost difference between the two different styles. Either way, they're both just flame-cut profiles, it makes no difference to an automated flame-cutting machine to cut a straight line or a bendy line. The only difference I could see at all is that the rib with the dip in the middle would leave you with slightly more scrap material from the sheet of steel they are cut from, which, contrary to popular beliefs, can save a small amount of money. I'm assuming that B&M, like most engineering companies, they have their own smelting facilities and can smelt the material down themselves; the rib with the dip in does the same job but uses slightly less material, hence when the scrap is smelted back down and formed into another sheet of steel, the sheet could be slightly larger and therefore they can get a few more ribs out of the same amount of material than with the straight topped rib design... BUT the final difference in cost is probably a very insignificant number.

I was saying because using the dip would save material. I figure you'd save only a little bit from each individual rib, but consider that the rib is multiplied 1000+ times along the track, and with steel being as expensive as I hear it is nowadays, every little bit helps when possible.

yeah, I still think that it's not really a big influence in the decision to use the dipped ones rather than the straight ones, I would say almost certainly that it is an entirely aesthetic choice.

I myself actually feel that the straight ones give the track more presence and make it look more imposing, which is sort of the point with the dive coasters. However, I prefer the look of the ribs with the dip on the other B&M coaster types

I doubt B&M cares that much about the appearance of the track beyond making it look shiny and new. I'd say it's a purely structural and/or cost modification, and not at all aesthetic. But who knows lol

Anyways I think of any park with 4 main coasters, this has the best ones. Those who designed the park made great choices...a B&M Dive Machine, excellent Gravity Group woodie, and an Intamin Megalite, with the only decent one being one of the new SLCs? wow

No need for anything overly original at that park...all you need is quality. Might as well not pay extra for especially original tracks.

But yes, I know you don't mean just there.

Nonono[:D]Whole park only have 1 Inversion(Immelmann),they like airtime rather than inversion[:D][^]

Happy Valley Shanghai doesn't have SLC
but another 3 Happy Valley??????????????????ShenZhen??????????????????Beijing??????????????????Chengdu??????????????????does
