I took the day off from working on Millennium Force, so I poked around with Newton, and created one of my more recent concepts. The ride isn't done yet, but I figured I would share some photos.

Hitchhiker is an Intamin Mega coaster positioned along a river. The ride stands 59m (194ft) tall, features an 80 degree drop toward the river, 10 drops, and 1368m (4489ft)of track.

This looks like a good layout and a very scenic ride. It kind of reminds me of Expedition Geforce.

Can you make the colors all brown like this? I really don't like the black supports.

^ cool5 please stop asking other people to do what YOU want them to do... ITS NOT YOUR RIDE! ITS HIS! ....

WHile were on the subject, i like the black alot, but dont make it "pure" black. that will look tacky. more of a dark dark dark gray.

yeah, it looks a lot better slightly dulled down. In the simulator jet black looks too "bright" if that makes sense.

I don't like the black supports. In my opinion, red and black are very overused.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

in my personal opinion, I would choose a light blue track with grey rails, and a very light grey for the supports. That would look good with the enviroment.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

The reason I chose red is because I rarely use red for my designs. It also provides a good contrast with the blue and green colors found in the sim. The black does look a little cartoony, but it's supposed to be a gloss black. I supposed I could tone it down. I just grabbed the stock pallet for now, I haven't reached the full visual stage, it was just kind of a fun build.

Griffonluv - judging a book by it's cover?

Flickstah - my last three coasters were some shade of blue, so I need to branch out a bit (at least with the colors).

I'll keep at it, and see what you guys think as the project progresses. Thanks for the color ideas.

^ Nah. I'm not judging the track in any way. Just stating that it is red, which it is.

Orangish red like expedition gforce and charcoal gray with a tint of navy supports.

Well the supports would be a bit bluer and the track redder.

ya. in the simulator it is more of a blue shade, I'll post another pic sometime soon.

Anyway, I like the black, but take kyle's advice.

Looks REALLY nice. Will follow it, I like the colours, they're popular with real coasters because they work. A great contrast with the green ground and blue sky.

Its very expedition geforce. Lets hope it doesn't derail.

I like it. The station and scenery looks realistic too. Good job so far.
