First off, pics will come later, I had to get up at 4:00 this morning to catch my flight home so I am very tired.

Weather: It was a perfect day, not too hot, slight breeze, not a cloud in the sky.

Park Status: All major rides were open and running. The park was pretty much packed with the before-school crowd.

The day started at 10:30, when the gates opened. First stop was the Flash Pass depot. I purchased a gold pass and a ticket for an 11:30 ride on X2.

First Ride of the day: Viper, front seat. Is it better than GASM? In my opinion, yes, it didn't bang me around nearly as much as GASM, but I still had to ride braced.

Next up was my 11:30 booking on X2, front seat. Did it live up to the hype? I say both yes and no. It is without a doubt the most insane ride I have been on to date, the first drop is incredible, as is the rest of the ride. HOWEVER... The seats seemed really unstable. Throughout the entire ride I was being buffeted back and forth by the seats, and it got steadily worse as the ride progressed.

Up next: Tatsu, front seat. Infinitely better than the Superman clones, and the pretzel loop was something else. Probably the best ride in the park IMO.

After a lunch of Papa John's, it was off to The Riddler's Revenge, front seat. It was a decent B&M, but the novelty of standing up while riding was gone by the time I returned to the station.

Goliath was next, back seat. I found it to be rather mediocre, to tell the truth. The first drop and helix were good, but that was about it. I expected a lot more airtime.

Scream, front seat. Not that good, I was jackhammered the whole ride. Very uncomfortable, and I had a minor headache when I exited.

My next stop was Deja Vu (really, it was open, I'm dead serious). It was a neat ride, but the efficency left plenty to be desired, it took almost 10 minutes just to get the damn trains re-boarded.[V]

After that, it was time for a break. No visit to Magic Mountain is worth it without a visit to the Sky Tower. I got several panoramic photos of the park while up there. I also re-booked X2 for 7:30.

After another go on Tatsu, my next stop was revolution...

BREAKDOWN 1: Revolution broke down when I arrived, and I decided to leave and try again later. I took another ride on Viper to pass the time, then went back.

When I returned, Revolution was running again, but one of the trains had been dropped, so it was down to one-train service. I took my place in the front row, as usual for loopers, and I can see why this coaster made history.

I was starting to heat up a little by then and the headache induced by Scream was starting to bother me, so after a quick pop of Ibuprofen, I took a break on the Log Jammer to get me nice and wet. That was very refreshing, to say the least.

Next ride was on Ninja, back seat. And it really wasn't all that bad a ride, I liked it.

Afterward, I took my third ride on Tatsu, and then it was time for X2 again.

BREAKDOWN 2: X2 E-stopped itself once I was in line, but it was nothing serious and after about a half hour, it resumed service, by then it was dark. This time the seats were buffeting even worse, but hey, at least I saw the flames. [8D]

After a quick dinner at the mooseburger lodge (yes, the mooses sing), it was one more ride on Revolution, and the day was over. Flash Pass returned, back to my hotel room for a good night sleep.

Total rides taken: 15.

Time in park: 11 hours.

Rides skipped:

Batman: The Ride
Colossus
Gold Rusher
Superman, the Escape
Terminator Salvation: The Ride

Ratings:
Deja Vu: 5/10
Ninja: 6.5/10
Goliath: 7/10
Revolution: 8.5/10
Riddler's Revenge: 7.5/10
Tatsu: 9.5/10
Viper: 8/10
X2: 9/10

Pics will be posted later...

^^^

What he said.

My decision is my decision, and I do not regret it.

Let's put it this way, if X2 didn't break down with me in line, I would have concluded with Terminator, unfortunately it did, and I lost almost an hour of my time in the park because of that.

Yeah if a ride has a long line the trick is to get in line right before closing so you dont waste park time with it.

The only problem with that strategy is that sometimes the parks close the lines early to avoid having to run them for an hour after closing.
