I hope that I can brush the grass in the low turn with my right hand at 90 MPH!

Haha Real, I didn't mean a lot of that stuff THAT literally. Zero gravity as in airtime in general. As for the OTSRs, I know that it's not what actually keeps you in, but if I happen to lean forward, put my arms up or if there is any even slightly rough or shaky spots, you'll touch some part other than the lap bar itself. I do think you're right about it being part mental, but I also find it to have a less open feel to it. The air is still going to be just as strong and all, but I don't find the experience as fun. I actually prefer MF's floater/sometimes almost not even floater air on the hills to the island to Maverick's ejector after those first turns.

I guess I'm not too impressed with this ride because I think they could have done more with it. I know that it's just an animation, but the hills look like they have rather weak air, just like the only other giga around. Hopefully I'm wrong, but since it looks to be mostly weak air and turns (not that high speed low to ground turns are bad), plus the OSTRs, I think they could have made it more thrilling for sure.

OMFg, ITS AN OVERSIZED MEGA LITE!! LOL. That looks pretty fun though, and I knew it. They only have 2 supports for that lift hill. Damn. Also, that one transition after the second turn is just odd to me. Could have done something better.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Those brakes are great fr safety but I'm really unhappy with Intamin's icreasing habit of waisting good inertia by having short, fast coasters.

^ I wouldn't say it's an intamin habit. It's all to do with what a park is willing to spend.

But thats like me saying "Oh Maverick isn't a good ride because the 70mph launch isn't fast enough." I'm just sick of people judging these rides on one out of many aspects, and if that aspect isn't met, then its "overrated"???

I'm just saying, give it a chance, you can only have speed or g's on these coasters. Maybe in the future we could have both, but not now.

Which ride am I not giving a chance? MF? Ive got like 100+ rides, Im quite familiar with it in all weather, times of day and times of the year. You can certainly have Speed AND G's. This ride, judging by the sizes of the hills and amount of speed, should have both. Infact, Maverick has more positive and negative G's. The G's as you exit the tunnel are more than on MF's drop, just not held as long as MF's drop. And its obvious the negative g's are higher by far. So, blow Maverick up to 305ft and this is what you get!

I wasn't saying YOU specifically, I was saying that the people who say Millennium Force is "overrated" because there isn't enough g's. That those people who do think it is overrated need to realize Cedar Point wanted to make Millennium Force a lot bigger, faster, stronger, but they ran out of room. Its hard building greatness on an island

Maybe we'll get lucky and the OSTR's will be replaced with lap bars. That's what happened to Chiller (when it was working).

^Less than half of the ride is on the island, and the island was the only part that entertained me thoroughly, so don't act like it would have been so difficult.

My opinion on I305, which will be at my home park btw[:)]
It looks amazing, but i feel like it could have been better. Like CoastaGuy said, tho over the shoulder restraints change the "feel" of the ride. That's my only major complaint, although I would have liked it if they had extended it a little more by making the turn into the brakes a full overbanked turn instead of half of one, then put in the brakes after that. A little more airtime would have been nice too, but oh well. I can live with it. It's gonna be one of my favorites anyway

I think it's feel, is going to be much like Goliath at SFMM. With the whole amazing and fun drop, and then a extremely forceful section, with a little relief after wards, and then just zooming through turns.

By the way, does anybody think that the transition into the Brake Run is weird. It just sorta throws you to the left and not gently either. I always thought the entrances to the Intamin's brake runs where graceful and swift. Unless I'm going crazy, and get companies confused.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

yeah it looks like the transition into the brakes will be smooth, then all of a sudden it banks way steeper then immediately back to flat. it looks very uncomfortable. but we'll see when it opens.

Actually yeah, it was a lot harder for Intamin/Cedar Point to do that. When the ride was originally designed, the lift hill had a chain and a 35 degree lift hill, but they had to shorten the lift hill, which when they came up with the idea of the cable lift hill. The ride was severely shorten from its orignially design.

And I'm talking about the island of Cedar Point, not Millennium Force's island

what the hell is the point of airtime if you're not at risk to be thrown out of your seat and die a painful death?

I REALLY love that this ride is being built! Now all the lines for other coasters will be shorter...

Ok, I'm new here. Hi, My name is Mason. I love coasters I have a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and I got to KI and CP a lot. I just want to say not to say, not to be meen, but I think a lot of you guys are downing this coaster too fast. I think it looks like great fun, like a combo of MF and Maverick. And all you people who say that the airtime will be killed, It would have been anyway with the normal lap bar. On MF the ride ops push the the lapbar down as far as it will go leaving no room for air. Thats why we have Diamondback (or atleast I do anyway). But before you knock it try it first. I know I will when I get my licens.

Airtime kicks ass, but so does going through a layout at 90-80mph the whole ride. Only 2 coasters in the world can say they do that ATM, and guess what. 1 of them is ranked 1st, or 2nd in the world since it Opened.

Grow up and learn that spots on top ride lists don't always make a roller coaster good, genius.

Well if people didn't follow statistics, we wouldnt have anything.
I was stating my educated opinion, and telling me to grow up tells, shows me quite the hypocrite you are.

Gah, I hate how people bash rides, THERE ALL FUN ( except for MeanStreak )

Anyway, Wether you be a MF fan, a Mav fan, a iSpeed fan, a Intamin fan, a B&M fan, a Vekoma fan, etc......... This ride will definetly be fun to ride, since.....Oh....guess what. NONE of us have ridden it! So we can't say how one element WILL be bad or another WILL be good. From my experience, elements that are the same, can suck or be awesome on different rides!
Cedar Point FTW

It will be a fun ride. And if CF lets the trees grow in around it over the next few years, it will be an awesome ride. KD is a cool park surrounded by a lot of trees. It's one of the things I liked about it when I visited several years ago. You can't even really see the park from I-95 when you pass by.

Oscar, I don't know how you feel about Goliath, but I can definitely say that I would gladly trade its near clone for this one.

I'm kinda disappointed with the ride. I was hoping for something or intricate and interesting. I was also hoping for a 3 train operation to get more people on the ride and improve on numbers. I think the ride will be fun, but the transitions seem like they are going to put a lot of stress on your body. Also, this ride seems like its going to hurt after a couple of years. I'm hoping that they are able to keep up on the maintenance for this ride. I'm just disappointed. I know that the economy is bad and they have to get a coaster within budget. But I feel they should have gotten something more unique and interesting.

Vehicles: Four passenger open design trains with overhead lap bars but no over-the-shoulder harnesses

Does anybody read anything, that clearly states no over-the-shoulder harness...Now I understand the video and renderings show maverick style harnesses but those are listed as over-the-shoulder. So is the press release, and website incorrect with the statement no over-the-shoulder harnesses or are the videos and train renderings feature the wrong harnesses?

This is from CP's website...
"Vehicle Design Fiberglass and steel coaches with over-the-shoulder restraints and interlocking seat belts"

IDK...this ride looks pretty sick, but why such a lack a airtime hills? I woulda thought it would be like Diamondback and have more hills.

At any rate, it looks pretty sick.
