I agree with bobbyjo because you never know what could happen. Look at Maverick, after they started building the track, they took the heartline out right after the launch. You just never know what could happen.

^ That's only because that inversion puts too much stress on the trains. I don't see any possible element of I305 that needs to be removed.

And what if one of the sharp turns ends up being too much for the trains also?

I'm just saying wait it out. You've done a good job making the ride that they released though. I'm not going to take away from that part.

This is a reluctant idea to me because the real ride isn't even released yet. The animation (which includes the pictures and models) might as well be some different ride because we're all familiar with the fact that it likely includes multiple inaccurate sections.

Well no disrespect to anyone, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. He didn't do very good, regardless of what rating he has. There were many inaccuracies.

But I guess, again, it's not going to be easy to recreate an unbuilt ride...

Why is everyone being such a debbie downer? If he wants to make the ride, i dont see a problem with that. And he can always just re-recreate the ride after a few good pics get around, and work on California Screamin in the mean time.

Uh Gersltcrazy...Keith from 3dvip uses the actual prints of the real design to make his animations...they are 100% accurate. Dback was perfect, Behemoth was perfect, Rockit was perfect, etc.

Eh, I wouldnt say perfect. His pacing isnt always nearly as close which also makes me wonder if the track is perfect too.

Those are old...I'm talking about the recent ones featured on 3dvip.com.

Real, I wasn't speaking of pacing, just the actual track design.

OK. Id say its about as close as youll get. I doubt its perfect, but the examples you gave were crazy easy to model, nothing really difficult at all. I think he did the Maverick Vid and its not entirely the most perfect shaping.

All in all, I am not sure why you are doing this ride. Its going to be a lot harder than you think and without riding it or even seeing the thing up and done OR an official POV, I think its almost silly to start on it IMO.

Just from observation I'm fairly certain the track centerline is exported which makes it nearly perfect, but the banking is always off some. I think the banking being off sometimes makes the track look a bit off too.

Also note that the difference in quality between those Badnitrus tracks and the 3DVIP shows that the technique is different from that he showed in his procedure to make Silver Bullet.

Banking isn't always off. The few twitches and pumps are usually what's off.

Anyways here's an upadte:

I'm up to the last 1000 and less feet of track and I'm still perfecting and tweaking what I already have.

Can you "recreate" something that isn't built yet??

I know, and with what I have so far, I'm pretty happy with it.

And ladies and gentleman, I have the track complete, at an official track length of 5,340ft, a difference of a little 240ft from the proposed 5100 ft of the real thing. I am now to doing the 3ds for the track spine and the lift truss, However, I have no clue as to where to start and I would appreciate some advice in where to start.

240' is a huge difference lol. Did you try what I (think I) said to you before about the 2nd turnaround being too far away from the station?

^ Uh, yeah I made it closer. Tons.

And I'm going to require somebody to export some of my track to 3ds, as DC is helping me make the spine in ketchup [lol].

But anyways, I began work on the lift structure, with the truss and the giga supports, and from here I can't do much with the supporting unless I have the spines so I visually know where to support.

Here are some pics:
