Watched Iron man for the third time last nigh. Great action and performances but I felt it was a bit too much on the talky side for a lot of the film.
Screw Commercialism. It's Dr.Gumbo, not CokeZero.

GI Joe is straight badass. I know a lot of people don't think it looks good but I found it fantastic, with a much more impressive plot than I even thought to expect.

I want to see District 9 and A Perfect Getaway.

Push was terrible. Lame plot, and absolutly TERRIBLE acting. i mean terrible... like,,, extremly bad.

Gran Turino does deserve an oscar. it was a great movie.

wanna see D9, seeing time travelers wife tonight with my gf.

Just watched it tonight. Amazing, I thought it was very imaginitive, especially the way they did that really long flashback.

I saw district 9 last night and have to agree that it was pretty good. It probably won't be for everyone, but if you like first person shooters with aliens, then you will probably like it.

The ending is a little messed up though.

Nightmare's Top Ten List (This list is indisputable, and world renowned for it's perfection)

1. Pulp Fiction
2. American Beauty
3. City of God
4. Silence of the Lambs
5. Godfather: Part 2
6. It's a Wonderful Life
7. The Dark Knight
8. Memento
9. Psycho
10.Twelve Monkeys

Other (less commonly viewed) movies I'd recomend: A Clockwork Orange, Clerks 1, Mallrats, Reservoir Dogs, Se7en, Once Upon a Time in the West, Fight Club, Crash, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, No County for Old Men, Rear Window, There Will be Blood, Catch me if you Can, Dazed and Confused, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Assasination of Jesse James, Unfaithful, Adaptation, and most recently...Inglourious Basterds.

I'm kinda a movie-geek, in case you couldn't figure that out...

Nightmare, I don't really like any of the films in your top 10 list, so it's indisputableness is disputable!

The Dark Knight was good, no denying, but it wasn't THAT good. It is very over-rated, in my opinion anyway.

Silence of the Lambs just isn't really my kind of film, which is the case for most of the films in his top 10.

I will agree with Pulp Fiction though. It's not my number one, but it is a very good film.

The main problem with the sort of films that make up Nightmare's top 10 list, is that they are not films that I find "entertaining". They may have deep, well explained, brilliantly acted stories with good cinematography, but that's just not necessarily what I enjoy. My tastes reside at a far lower level of intellect, for example:

films with:

* Amazing cinematography
* Amazing special effects
* Amazing music
* Emma Roberts

That is a small taster of the kind of things I like.

N.B. don't confuse what I'm saying when I say "Emma Roberts", this does not mean that I think films that she's in are good, because my God, they are not. What it means is, I would rather watch a film with her in as I get to see images or her unhealthily young yet equally hot piece of ass, instead of watching a film that challenges me at a more intellectual level.

I am a simple man of simple pleasures [:)]

I saw Inglorious Basterds on Saturday. I highly suggest that everyone stop what they are doing at the moment and go see it.

I just watched "Ponyo"... which was definitely not Hayao Miyazaki's best, and was a bit juvenile, but even at his worst his films are better than 95% of what other animation studios produce.

Also just saw "Julie & Julia" with my gf, and it was surprisingly good if you like cooking. Incredible acting by Meryl Streep (big surprise... lol) and Amy Adams, genuinely funny, and made me very, very hungry.

For a movie still in theaters, District 9 is truly amazing

For a movie to rent, you can't go wrong with Requiem for a Dream if you can deal with it's terribly depressing and bleak plot. It's a great story though that I would HIGHLY recommend. It follows the lives of four connected individuals and their struggle with varying addictions.

Seriously, this movie is great. Watch it. Now.

Requiem for a Dream is trully F'd if you watch it under the influence of anything. The music is what did it for me, I pretty much white knuckled my bong during the entire movie. Trainspotting is another movie like that, which will leave you saying "WTF".

Also highly suggested is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
