That looks a lot more cleaner than the support method. Would you mind doing the spines for me? Credit and thanks will be given [lol. As I don't have the full version of the CK and 3ds Max.

lol I dont mind. Just make sure the track is 100% done. Ill try my idea to create the tubes inbetween. If not, youll have to do those by hand but Im sure itll be a heck of a lot easier and shorter than doing the WHOLE thing in tubes.

I can even texture that son a' gun if I wanted too. Didnt realize I could do 2 spines till I saw you guys trying to figure out a way and the lightbulb went off in my head. Oh, duh. It does that. I was going to just export 2 spines and combine into one in Max but this was even easier.

When youre ready, Ill figure out a tube size consistant with the size of the rails so it looks proportional and go from there. Might take me a week or so. My EMT class sucks up hours of study each night but it shouldnt be too hard.

I already have the track done, if it wasn't done, I wouldn't start doing the lift truss brake fins and such and such. I forgot what your email was, what was it again?

EDIT: Never mind I remembered it, sent it. Thanks again man.

Actually, I think I figured out a way to do the entire spine. This might look pretty cool after all...

Again, major props, thanks, and credit will go to you. What I could do if I had the full version of the CK and more years experience of making 3ds.. I wonder.

Done. At least this initial stage. There would be a lot more work IMO (if I were doing it) to flesh it out. I just sent you the track from the drop to brakes. You let me know what you think.

Im off to bed. I work the entire holiday weekend. Thank goodness I get overtime on Monday.

So Real is helping me on my recreation if you could tell by the couple posts above ^^, and I thought I could so some pics of progress. This is not the finished track spine, things are still being tweaked.

And I decided to make a teaser video. I just slapped some pre-fabs and some trees, what you see in the video is definitely NOT final.

Sorry man, Real has offered to do some 3ds work on the ride for me (3ds that I can't make myself [lol]), but he has been really busy lately for several reasons and I don't blame him, so this ride is on hold temporarily.

My EMT class is a 5credit hour class, but thats on top of 40hrs of work. This class is essentially a one time shot since I dont get any government help. Myself and family have funded this whole thing. Class is 800, Ive prolly dropped another 350 on immunizations to go to Clinicals (required) and then Ill need another 70 to take the National Registry Test and then theres prolly a hundred in supplies on top of whats provided. So its essential I pass this and do well enough that I pass it all on the first try. I cant afford to do this all over again. It might be till January before any real progress is made. That and a little game called Forza 3 is coming out Tuesday so any other free time will go to that.

It wont be hard to finish what weve talked about I just need a block of time where I can fit it inbetween my personal time and school and work.

^ It's alright man, I may consider redoing the trackwork if I ride it and the recreation is not done by that time. I've got loads of other projects underway anyways.

EDIT: AWESOME NEWS

This is in no relation to the the recreation itself but to the real ride. New pictures posted to the photo gallery on the ride website shows very clear images of confirmation that the drop does in fact have a left-right turn, as shown in Keith Mcveen's animation. Here are the pics:

I know you may be wondering why I'm excited about this, it's because the left-right turn was a risky move I did in my recreation, and now that I know it's really there, it's another step to it being more accurate [:D]

the little bank to the left before the big bank to the right into the turn off the drop, it seems like someone didn't know how to use con-roll properly on NL [lol]

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. I haven't updated in ages [lol].

Alright, I have decided that the track I made was utter poop, leading me to reconstructing a new layout a couple weeks ago. I do have to add in that regarding the shaping and transitioning, it's a large improvement. I have a couple screenshots and I uploaded a new teaser trailer. I'm going to be able to get this ride up by the opening of the real Intimidator 305, which is April 2ish, if it starts testing this week.
