So i got a new computer, with the ever so wonderful windows vista on it. I've known all the weird glitches between vista and NL, Missing elementary files, Weird track packager issues, Missing screenshots, ya all that good stuff... but this is a totally new breed of WTF... Can anyone seriously explain this???

I've noticed this when adjusting custom support colors in the editor and going straight into the sim without manually saving the track first. A restart of the editor fixes it for me.

The environment file you're using uses the Elm Tree texture instead of the normal Wooden Catwalk texture.. You should check the filenames of both textures and the environment file you're using [:)]

Its' happened to me, And I run XP

I never really tried to fix it, it just did. From what Ive been told it has something to do with messing with resolutions in the Sim settings.

IDK why this happens, but I was like WTF when I first encountered it.

^ That happens to me all the time when I change the res on a coaster that uses wooden catwalks.

I've had problems with Windows Vista and NL too. Although, my problem is different. Whenever I download a track that is a ZIP file, an error message comes up saying it couldn't open the file. I wonder why I never had that problem on XP.

I want to put a dirt texture on the catwalks and then make a inddor mine ride with the dirt looking catwalk walls. Did I invent a new idea with the catwalk textures?

Could you go in and put what ever texture you want in place of the normal catwalk textures? How woud every wooden coaster and coaster using catwalks would not have the same new texture applied?

You'd have to make an environment with that catwalk texture.
Just keep scrolling...

Turning off Vista's UAC (User Account Control) has solved nearly every problem relating to any program for me. No more having to give programs writing priviledges, no risk of loosing hours of work if you forget to do that or forget to run as admin, etc. (by default, NL is not allowed to save files, be it track, screenshots, etc. but will still appear to) I heard it causes other issues, particuarly other Windows components to not run because they assume the system is insecure. It hasn't come up yet though.

I've used Vista for less than a week, but so far, turning off UAC has solved numerous problems. You'll get some Windows security alerts to turn it on, but XP never had any UAC feature and worked fine. The security alerts also can be closed.
