For about a month now, I've been recreating the #1 steel coaster in the world, as most of you know is Superman Ride Of Steel. I've ridden this coaster only twice, but I sure got a lot out of it. My recreation so far is nearly perfect, in which the height is exact, the speed is exact, the length is exact (only .37 feet off), and the G-forces might need some tweaking. But other than that, it's an accurate representation of the real ride. I even submitted some pictures to show you the progress that I'm making!

The lift supports are completely done, and they look pretty accurate to me.

I have some support work to do here...

As well as over here...[:O]

Once I get those steps done, I'll be doing some 3Ds with Google Sketchup! My expected completion date will probably be around September 1, 2009 (or less!). Stay tuned for more progression updates and pictures!

The last air hills look odd, also, the entry into the twister section looks wrong. Hard to tell from picts though.

Man, your stats may be correct, but you have shaping issues everywhere. S:RoS has some of the weirdest shaping out there, especially when it comes to the air hills and s-hills. You might want to revisit pictures and videos and study the shaping of the ride if you care about making a recreation. Just some advice, as there is a pretty good recreation already released and a truly perfect one is to come in the future (once Mr. Procrastination finishes up...2014 maybe?)

^I'm assuming that's humor....but I'm pretty sure he's talking about Dcs221 and Phyter's recreation in the making. It really does look perfect...

Dcs will find a blade of grass in the wrong direction.

yea, that first airhill that enters into the twisted section should have a steeper exit.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Okay, okay! If you all are complaining about this recreation, I'll start a new one and at least get the elements shaped correctly this time! Also, I'll try to position the track 45 degrees on the grid.

I'll say what I see wrong so far.

The airhill before the twister section was way too high, steep, and not wide enough therefore. The first twisted hill is shaped very oddly and is huge (no airtime) IRL. The second s-hill underneath the 1st has way too much side to side motion...its basically an air hill with turning entrances and exits (and then some curve over the top, i think its straight at the apex though...same goes for the third). The turn to drop transition after the tunnel needs to be wider. Finally, the last two air hills need to be higher and wider.

Is there anything else that's wrong, because I feel the urge to correct the whole entire track if necessary, and you know what that means[;)].

To answer your question ianko66, I was using Image Converter Plus to convert the NoLimits screenshots into JPEG file format. But once I noticed that there was an annoying logo at the bottom-right corner of the pictures, I just used Gimp to save the files as different file extensions.

There's no way to tell the quality of the track from that angle.

Good! I might want to suggest real quick that maybe you should slightly tone down the colors so they look less neony.

-NOTICE-
This recreation is now cancelled! I've decided to wait until NoLimits 2 to come out so that I can start fresh with all new designing techniques! Sorry about the news, but it is what it is![:(]
