cool? as far as I know eyeliner came from bands like the Cure. probably goes farther back then that too, and i haven't seen much eye-liner being worn in the scene as of late.... Except in states like missouri, michigan, ect where's there's nothing to live for anyways. Eye-liner is abundant.

First off, FOB <3.

Secondly, I dont think anyone who judges FOB for thier past "eyeliner/emo-status" has any idea of the band aside from what the E channel catches of Pete Wentz. Altho, not that I am insulting, but FOB's reputation will always be targeted as emo/eyeliner/ect because of Pete Wentz. And they got that reputation right around 2005 when From Under The Cork Tree came out. It definitly fell in the "emo" genre and thats towards where Pete Wentz and the eyeliner (for them) started. You look at Pete Wentz around 2002 - 2004ish you wouldn't see any of that. You look now or in the past year or 2, that has died down. Alot.
Another thing, you look at the rest of the band and tell me that they look emo. You have Patrick Stump (Singer) whos like the complete opposite of what anyone would ever call emo. Their guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley come from hard metal backrounds, and also look nothing like the polished "emo"-looking bands that have emerged recently (swoop dark black hair, ect.). Unfourtunately the media has focused down and is now media-frenzied about every move pete makes, so it extremely influences the image of the band.

Finally, I think it was extremely rude to call out a band like that (both article and ckmwm). Just remember children (ckmwm), dont judge a book by its cover, or in this case, media coverage.

Fall Out Boy sucks. End of story.

I dont just listen to "Emo" music. I love alot of genres of music, anyhting from classical to jazz to rock, ect. you get the point.

The band that inspired Fall Out Boy is apologizing for inspiring them. It's not some kid taking a cheap shot, it's an actual interview. Did any of you read this article?

That Emo kid from Placebo had eyeliner on. Plus I can't really say whether I like Fall out Boy or not, most of the Punk Rock bands sounds the same to me. Limited in Guitar solo's and Shallow Lyrics to top it off.

Fyi, if you knew any of the mackround of the band, which would be a resonable reason to say that, they dont use autotune, or rarely do, one of the reasons is that it f**ks up the bluesy notes. And really, you say Patrick Stump has no talent? Shame on you..

Listen to this and claim that there is no talent in that voice and that everything is autotuned.

FYI... they use a program known as melodyne. Melodyne IMO is the best autotuner money can buy at the moment. Melodyne works perfect for blue notes, bending pitches, adding or subtracting amounts of vibrato, and pretty much anything else you can think of while still keeping a natural sound. oh and guess what... almost every recording you hear on the radio these days uses it. guaranteed. even fall out boy. even most of the bands i enjoy.

^^ Even if that isn't auto-tuned, melodyned or whatever, it still sounds like crap, haha. Just a personal opinion though. To me they are just a popular 13 year old girl band, haha.

Oh, and I had that video playing while typing this out, I think I want to shoot myself, haha. That was horrid. XD
