Near this family owned park, in a land that, until a few thousand years ago, could be described as a scrubland, paleontologists recently excavated a nearly complete skeleton of smilodon fatalis, one of the most recognized saber-toothed cats. This remarkable discovery prompted the park's owners to name their brand new CCI roller coaster after the legendary predator of the past: "Sabertooth."

Please enjoy some photographs of my design here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/41035003@N ... 75/detail/

I've designed Sabertooth to be a realistic CCI wooden coaster with a unique layout. Unlike "Breaking Point," where much of the originality is conveyed through individual elements and therefore preview pictures didn't show much, CCI's real coasters focus more on fun and new overall layouts. Thus, I am pleased to present to you pictures encompassing most of the layout and charm therein, in a showcase of beautiful landscapes and exhilirating coastering.

This coaster comes packed with all the forces that have proven consistently to be exciting for thrillseekers, but also family friendly. In the interest of realism, the maximum vertical force range is between -.9 and 3.2 g's, with most forces in the -.4 to 3 g range. The thrill comes from rapid changes in positive and strong (up to 1.5 g) lateral forces, and quality sustained airtime on most of it's 14+ hill peaks, along with exciting pacing, support flythroughs, some surprises, and a water-skimming turnaround.

Thank you for everyone's support up to this point...ride testing, reviews, comments, compliments, suggestions, and object exporting; it's all very appreciated. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them here :)

Jw, how do you get your inspiration for station buildings? Any particular examples or is it just in your head? (Im also referring to older projects)

Um I generally look on google for either some cool architecture or just a cool object to use as reference that I can modify and make into my own. I used the chainsaw AR from Gears of War as a loose reference for Breaking Point, for example. The latest station I did was based on a train station I liked. For Sabertooth, I purposely wanted to model a very generic CCI station to increase the realism and help show the ride style.

Which train station did you base your latest station off of? Any pictures of it?

Nope cool5, sorry that's under wraps for now. :)

Here's an offride video shot from what would be the other side of the lake for you to enjoy while waiting :) I encourage you to click the video and watch the much larger HD version on YouTube, but if you're lazy it's here for you.

Those still have to be some of the realist trees I have seen in NoLimits. Are they high poly count?

All have the same number of polygons as default NL trees.

To sweeten the deal, and to show my appreciation, anyone who takes their time to rate Sabertooth with a minimum of 130 words within the first 2 weeks will get a PM with an exclusive preview screenshot of what promises to be my next release...and trust me, it's a big one. Here's a little piece of that screenshot:

It is the Aurora Intainam hyper ride. I have all the pictures from that ride from the No Limits Dev Center.

Yes, but you only have small renders of scenery renders outside of NL. What you don't have is a big screenshot of part of the ride in No Limits, including scenery. Huge difference :)

Question: anyone know how I can change a png texture for some fencing to a 1-bit alpha texture? I need to do that to get ride of a NL visual error, and I'm sure I can do it in GIMP, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it. If you'd like to make the fix for me instead, let me know and I can send you the texture as that'd be great too.

Next time move the offride view to the 3rd or 4th car, it'll be more centered that way.

I think that feels a bit weird when watching offride, and often would rather see the motion of the front car than center the entire train.

If not tonight I'll be done tomorrow night...was at Great Adventure today and Buster brought up some things I had to fix up before release...just little details like texture resizing and some file naming stuff. No biggie. Thanks for being patient.
