I'm still a bit not convinced. Do you think it's possible that you can compile a video of the device plugged into the computer and working it on NL?

Sounds interesting, but to be totally honest, I'd have a difficult time justifying it at 1/10th the price.

A video is currently being produced, it should be posted to our YouTube channel by the end of the month. Right now we are in the pre-release phase, and will be making some final product adjustments based on user feedback. We are aware that the initial price point is quite high, and we intend to produce models in the future for about $50.

The device would have been much more affordable had an API been included with Nolimits. Instead the device uses an I/O card and a keyboard interface board to process I/O from the unit. The details of the software that provides all the magic, is propriety and top secret.

We do have some additional pictures from the development phase that show the lights operating, if that interest you I will happily post it.

We will not know until it is released. OLE has refused to come to the table to discuss an integration solution.

Nice. I feel like I could build this for under $20, but I LOVE the concept. Maybe I'll get to working on one of my own once NL2 comes out.

If someone wants to operate a ride THAT bad, just go get a damn job at a theme park. You'll get paid too!!

Sorry for being blunt, but the price of this is retarded. Especially considering that NoLimits is dying (if it isn't already dead).

Take a look at the decreasing traffic on all of the nolimits related websites.

Personally, I'm holding back on creating anything new right now until Nolimits 2 comes out.

One reason is that there hasn't been an update since December of 07.

I don't know if it's dying, it's changing in many ways and has evolved a lot even since December of 2007. NL 2 will definitely spur the community once again though, and that's due out within two years at the most I would say.

Some people have said they could justify the cost if it worked for multiple platforms, such as:

Scream Machines
NL / NL2
Nolimits Fairground

This is something we are looking into. Many have stated that they can come up with a better solution for less. I would certainly be interested to see what other people come up with in terms of software and hardware.

^Well, obviously I'm not talking about marketing my own product. Most of the parts I can get for free for my own personal use.

NL2 can't spur the community if the community isn't there. The way things are going, there wont be any big communities for NL2. Those that will be there, will grow too much to be viable for the owners of them. [}:)]

More like the ultimate waste of money...am I right? Just get a job at an amusement park, it's a lot more fun especially when you work in maintenance like I do.

I call it a keyboard. I'll have a video demo ready sometime in the near future . . .

I can understand what you mean ... more of a reason to keep yours going, Oscar! Seriously, it's nice to see that CC has weathered the storm. So many communities have risen and fallen in the past couple of years. Hopefully the NL Exchange will help support this endeavor.

Also, in order to keep the community running, the NL dev team really needs to provide us with more teasers and information to keep us hooked. We haven't really heard, no - seen much, in the past year when you think about it.
