I'm getting sick of people arguing about my ride in the rating section, so for the time being lets just make a topic about it.

This is the debate-

Brtnboarder seems to think he knows everything about b&m hypers. He claims my ride is unoriginal, unrealistic, and forceless. He also states that b&m's have massive airtime (over -1.0) very frequently. He seems to be set in his ways, and wont relent. He previously rated my ride a 6.67, which is now removed for obvious reasons, however he still continues to argue inside my rating topic.

It would be great if people could post some force graphs, and articles about b&m hypers, cuz i really want to see this ego-brain be put to rest...

Since when is it a rule to have EXACTLY the same force as other rides of the manufacturer?

If I want to build a B&M, I want to build it MY way and if I want -1,5, I will bloody let nobody stop me from building a hill with -1,5.

Now, if this was a recreation it would be a different matter, but if the G's aren't super-boring or lethal, then no points should be deducted.

the g's on the ride are close to b&m standards. if not, maybe a little stronger.

^^Well, than it wouldn't be B&M anymore...
It's quite simple, really...
If you say it's a B&M it should be a B&M, not a "coaster-that-looks-like-B&M-but-really-isn't", with forces that exceed B&Ms limits.
If it's not B&M, it's not B&M

^ i totally agree. He seems to think he's perfectly correct though. All i know is, i've seen lots of proof that he's wrong, and he hasn't shown any proof to back up his statement.

Well, when me and Ben were working on a hyper, he stumbled upon a graph showing forces for Hollywood Dream:the Ride, and the maximum air that thing pulls was -0.24 or something...
Can't find the graph right now tho...

Brtnboarder also keeps mentioning how much more intense the intamin hypers negative g's are, but i tend to believe B&M to have more air. Either way it was a good coaster and Brtnboarder needs to stop raining on the parade.
Gimme a good coaster and nobody gets hurt.

T: Technically the ride was far from perfect, but you did a decent job for this being a hand-built track. G's were in check and tunnel test passed.

A: Pacing was good, nice woodie airtime, nice lats. It was cool how it weaved through the terrain and trees.

O: The layout was different, and nice terrain

We can also see another one of his long, intelligent, well-explained rates; this one on Triumph by koeneman. An out and back GCI. I don't see what the problem is. He is an excellent rater. (Sarcasm)

Based on all of the B&Ms ive been on I'd say the hypers reach like -0.8 max, but only in front or back for an instant

And since when was this rule put in? For all as I know, No Limits lets you create B&Ms with as much airtime as you want. It doesn't make in any less B&M.

Actually, considering your argument. Each coaster that isn't an exact replica of a real B&M should not be considered a B&M as they otherwise would be a "coaster-that-looks-like-B&M-but-really-isn't"

But why downrate my ride when clearly i was trying to model it after a real b&m? Real b&m's don't have much airtime, and so i made my ride that way. I just think people should rate in accordance to what the creator was trying to accomplish.
