President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday because the judges found his promise of disarmament and diplomacy too good to ignore.

What has he NOT done?

Saved our economy, peacfully ended the feud between himself and Hillary Clinton, and is pushing a governemt health care plan that is about to be accepted. And unless your a rep. a-hole, that's a good thing!

The thing about the war though is quite strange...and that is why everyone is criticizing his winning of the N.P.P; but even he was surprised at winning it! So unless you've got a better person that should win it, and that person has done more than Obama has done within the past 7-8 months, please let me know - but I think he deserves it!

I find it very ridiculous that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. He has done nearly nothing to deserve it. In fact, it should be stripped from him because of his recent actions.

1. Stating he wouldn't be withdrawing troops form Iraq and Afghanistan.
2. Failing to give "hope" to Americans that he so boldy preached.
3. Backstabbing the GLBT population after promising them rights.

But in all due respect, I'm sure there is no one else in the world who has done so much to bring peace then what Obama has promised.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

How has he not given hope? He brought our economy out of recession, he's trying to bring national healthcare to everyone, yet we all put him down, just like we're doing now. Then he ends up kicking their/our ass by keeping his promises. So I think that we just need to keep our f-ing mouths shut, because so far he has kept his word on more important promises, he knows what he's doing; what do you know about running a damn country? NOTHING!

^neither do you

And FYI:

The President has NO powers to do all what he promises. You're forgetting how our government works, Tidus.

As for our economy... please go into detail. I really want to hear what you have to say about that Tidus.

The only person less qualified to win this in history has been Yassar Arafat.

Well, after he bailed out those failing companies guess what? The DOW went from the low 7000's to the mid-9000's! And the Nasdaq as well as S&P 500 rose up drastically, to about what it was before the recession of last year! You want me to say anything else genius?

Has it not gotten better after he got us out of the Black Hole it was before?!

You guys need to stop putting him down, he's only been in office 7-8 months, I mean poop, he's done more than G W. Bush ever did in his 8 years of being president...not that it's that hard to do more than good ol' G. W...

It's gotten better for me, however unemployment numbers keep rising. Tell the people who keep losing their jobs that the economy is better. It might be better for the stock market, but for the average joe it is still bad.

Pay attention to real economics and not just stocks. Might be a concept that isn't taught at your high school yet.

Tidus, what did Obama do to fix our economy? I'm sure that Bush's stimulus is behind that recovery.

There's usually a lag behind a stock recovery before jobs start coming back of at least few months. The numbers have showed it starting to slow, with less jobs lost over the last couple months.
