I am currently building a recreation of B&M's new flying coaster Manta, at Sea World Orlando. I have so far mad a rough version of the track. However it has quite a few bumps and pumps in it that are turning out to be quite difficult to iron out. I will probably end up re working the majority of the track. Here are some pics. Tell me what you think and any advise on smoothing out the track would be appreciated.

Particularly nasty spiral, has been giving me a lot of problems:

Corkscrew, not quite quick enough of roll, and a little bumpy. I am going to completely redo this inversion.

Final splashdown sequence: smoothest part of my ride, just a few tweaks and its good to go.

hmmm... Take another look at the shaping. It's not right in my opinion.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

You might not know, but people can actually create rides in this program without tools, there are these little white handle things that can be dragged around to shape the track. I know its a primitive concept, but it appears that he used the lost art in creating this ride.

Wow, shaping is way off, the splashdown needs to be more drawn out, banked wayyy more, pretzel loop not shaped right, and the drop comes way closer to the ground, and only uncurves just before going into the pretzel loop.

This was mostly just to see where the various elements of the ride were going to be positioned... i am drawing out the water splash, curving the inversions slightly better, redoing the first drop and also correcting the shaping of the pretzel loop. the problem is i dont know how to make the twisting action of the roles more sudden yet keep the size of the inversion similar.

I would like to know any suggestions to help get that final twist to be quicker like the one on the actual ride.

The twists are really just roll overs. The only one thats not a roll over and acts more like a corkscrew is the second one, the one before the MCB and a lot of that has to do with the entrance and exit as I felt the motion was the same. Theres actually laterals as I got shifted in each one considerably, theres virtually no heartline and whatever there is its minimal (which, I can understand why) but its not like the rolls are free of lateral movement, they arent.

Drop out of MCB in back should have floater airtime in the least. I rode this beast like 5 or 6 times, LOVED it. My fiance thought it might be one of her all time faves. Glad she got to ride this and not a SUF. This thing is great.

Good luck on the track shaping. NOT easy at all. This is one of those rides, for me, that has so much interaction and themeing I wouldnt touch it with a 10ft pole because theres just TOO much to recreate. Just nuts.

Yeah. It is very intense, and since I live near Orlando every time I go ride it, it helps me improve the recreation, but i will agree. Just the crazy custom elements are hard enough to recreate but I'm also going to attempt supports and 3ds. Its gonna take a while. I'm Working on the drop right now to fix its shaping.

I hate saying this to ambitions starters like you, but you should put the recreation on hold. Make some of your own designs and get to learn the program and roller coasters in general a little better. The picture comparisons look to as though they are right on with each other to your eyes, but they are drastically different once you see the smaller details and train your eyes a bit

Yes there are a lot of little differences and unfortunately some of them i dont know how to fix without messing something else up. Im all ears to suggestions.

Yesterday I noticed too that the lift hill crest on the actual ride was much larger than the recreation so i am working on correcting that. Ive found that since it is newer there are slightly fewer pictures available to help with shaping. I appreciate any help you all can provide.
