yep thats right! me and my friend have been considering building a small backyard coaster. my idea was to make a slightly steeper wooden version of the butterfly. http://www.rcdb.com/2703.htm?p=11887

we will probably use scooter wheels and a winch lift system. I have a pushbar from an old mower which makes a perfect restraint. It will have one passenger at a time. it will be approximately 15 ft tall.

Questions? Comments? Advice?

If you are building a bigger butterfly, at least add something fun like an airtime hill [;)]
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

this is actually no bigger. The large model is something like 20-25 feet. The reason i chose such a simple design is because be have no access to tools that could bend wood, so instead were probably just gonna cut a curve. im not sure if were ever really doing it, but it wont be for a while if we are, cause we have harsh winters.

yeah ik but still, its difficult. cutting it would actually be better because of our largely ranging temperatures.
