You are really going to nit-pick me on my most basic, time-saving, and shortest review?! Are you like a loser or something dude? Did you not recognize it was but a sentence or two long? There was a reason...it's a great game and a fave, but not one I wanted to get too detailed with, I had better ones to talk about!

i wasn't saying anything to harm you in any way. With out being a total doosh like your last comment, can you please explain to me why you're being so defensive towards me? You must be extremely sensitive to have taken offense based on my opinion of a racing game. How can you possibly think i was trying to start an argument? I was just stating my opinion for f**k's sake!!! change your tampon...

CoDMW2 will either be pretty good or really love up. Just have a look at the list of the perks and streak awards and imagine a game of 24 players on a small map with all these. Spawn rape to the max. As if CoD4 didn't have enough of that with the airstrikes and choppers. (which shouldn't even be in a proper "hardcore" match) Oh, and people whine about/servers ban martydom way too much. If you ALWAYS have to have a P90 w/ suppressor/double tap/extreme conditioning and ALWAYS have to run towards your kill after HEARING the grenade drop, learn how to play another way...

I can't decide if the MW2 campaign is going to be cliche or badass either, though I'm leaning towards the latter from what I've seen. I guess it'll be up to how players take in the story and the fact that it won't be the first game with warfare on U.S. soil (after Civil War obviously)

Hope I didn't piss anyone off on my muitiplayer commentary.

I gotta get Crysis sometime. I played it at Micro Center and it looks to be pretty good; almost like a cross between Halo and tactical shooters.

Oh crap, I forgot! Pretty much every game by Spiderweb Software is a guilty pleasure of mine. Especially Avernum... [approve]

Oops...it double posted that made it sound even harsher...look, I just posted it, and you immediately replied on my shortest review of DiRT..seriously?

Yes, DiRT is fun and addictive, and the physics are a little conky at times but it can get quite realistic, especially on the Rally-raid races. We also cannot forget the AMAZING crash effects, and cockpit view. Oh, I have GRID as well...it's just not a fave...

yes i did comment on dirt. i stated an opinion... i'm sorry but i really don't see what i did wrong hahaha. I fail to see why you had any reason to get so hot and hairy over a simple opinion. Seems slightly childish to me, but honestly i don't care anymore. i guess you're just an angry sensitive guy! I'll be more careful not to crush your feelings in the future, (we certainly don't want that to happen again), and I'll keep my opinions involved with anything you say to myself. i wouldn't want you to have a mental break down and start crying erratically or anything.

Can you both just calm down and let it go?

The game I am playing the most nowadays is still Skate 2. It's just so fun to be barreling down a street at 40 mph and hit a grandma walking in the middle of the road.... ahhh...
Just keep scrolling...

for me, the game that has wasted my life away is mirrors edge. its so much fun, and its so differant from most games that i love it. the things i woulsd change though is a longer campain, multiplayer, and free runing, which they might do all in mirrors edge 2

At this point, Fallout 3 has my interest, enough where I have begun installing mods.

But damn you, Bethesda, could you PLEASE make a PC game that doesn't have so many technical problems?! [:(!][:(!][:(!][V][V]

Fallout 3 PC is very touchy about when it does and does not work, and has a very annoying habit of crashing at random. the programming is ripe with memory leaks, as well, particularly the one pertaining to VATS. That one is ANNOYING! The visual enhancement features were also poorly coded, and as such I cannot play the game with V-Sync enabled, as it will wreak havoc on my Vidcard Drivers, and potentially crash my entire system.

But, it's still a great game. It just takes a LOT of tinkering.

Mike, how the hell do you forget Battlefield 2142?!?! That's one of my favorites!

BF 2142 - 9/10. Ok, there's no career mode and if you start playing the game now you might be turned away a bit because it's a tricky game to get good at, but once you start to get the hang of it and you aren't killed every 5 seconds, this game is amazing!!! The online play so makes up for there being no career mode. The game came out in 06' and there are still sooo many players. So like I said, might be a hard game for new comers, no career mode and there are occasional hackers(that normally get kicked out rather quickly) this game is the best for online play! So much replay value due to there always being new players!

And also Mike, yeah Dirt might not be the most realistic thing out there, but in terms of rally games, it's probably one of the more realistic out there.(aside from maybe Dirt2, haven't played more then the 360 demo and I much rather get it for the computer, but my computer can;t really handle the first one) I get what you're saying Mike, but it's one of the better ones HANDS DOWN!!!

I second that. XD

Worst game ever: 2008 Beijing Olympics. Hand-breaking controls, repetitive game play which is essentially the same for 'all' of the events. Sub-standard graphics which don't reflect how you play in the slightest (i.e you don't even push a button, yet you seem to be able to keep up with the other competitors in a race). The whole game stenches of a quickly-made cash in.
Screw Commercialism. It's Dr.Gumbo, not CokeZero.

Figured I'd revive this thread! There have been a ton of new games that have been released within the last two years that deserve reviews!

Mass Effect 2 - 9.5: Really doesn't need much explanation. This is an amazing game. The storytelling, characters, atmosphere, vistas, space, weapons, physics... and Miranda Lawson (^__^) are f*cking awesome. Everything is in this game, it builds upon everything that was awesome in the original.

The only set-backs to me are: scanning for minerals (OMG is it painstaking...); some of the side missions which weren't original enough (unless you had a low IQ, you knew what was going to happen...); and they took some RPG-elements out that the first game kind of mastered.

It seems that Bioware also really tried to streamline the game to make it easier to use (which I applaud). The increased convenience of the menu is awesome, and very helpful when in fast-paced battles. I only wish they didn't take away so many of the abilities your character had access to in the first game -- it's like the game interface was OVERLY simplified. But to finish on a positive note, I never encountered a single glitch other than some NPC's which truly had no idea in which direction to go! XD

Mass Effect 2 is easily one of the best games of this generation and deserves to stand-alone as one of the greatest RPG's of all-time.

More reviews peoples!

P.S. - TMV, I can't believe how much of an asshole I was! I don't know what the hell I was thinking. XD
