Nothing is better than those GCI lounge seats. These things will be very uncomfortable for a male.

Nope, I read it in an official Lake Compounce document...included were blueprints of Boulder Dash and Gerstlauer's trains. If I recall correctly, they looked to be the style seen on rides like Villain or Myrtle Beach's Hurricane. It's going to be a surprise though, so keep that to yourselves.

No, it isn't. Wood coasters are fun because they're primitive, not because they're technologically advanced. Trains shuffling and fighting their way through the tracks is fun in itself - don't need gimmicks like launches and higher forces.

i agree. they have steel coasters for the whole new age designs. woodies are old school. keep them that way.

I think that the design won't look as ugly once it's finished... but I personally like the idea of the seats. The only time I have a bad time is when they have the bump showcased on these... and then they have an OTSR. i.e. The Crypt, Delerium, Maxair. etc.

This will allow my legs to actually spread apart a bit, unlike the PTC trains that would squish my thighs together, and cause either my legs or my lap bar to... you know.

I believe the PTCs on the Voyage now are of Junior size? Just with more cars. But this is because of TGG's choice in track size.

I don't know, I don't much like the look... but we'll see.

Figured I'd shine at least one positive comment.

I think i'll wait until i ride it with the new trains to pass judgement... sort of defeats the purpose of a wooden coaster though
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

The PTCs on Voyage are the same size as all the other ones.

Pretty soon a wooden roller coaster will be a steel roller coaster with wooden supports.

A mine train.

Better wooden trains means better wooden coasters - faster, longer etc. Also means that the track will be able to take more, so greater forces etc. And these trains can do stuff like be launched. And that is gonna be something damn cool to see.

Yeah, like I said. Steel roller coasters.

Dumbass.

Is that really necessary? That's a really rude statement if you ask me.

Will someone please shut this tramp up and get back on topic?

I hear constantly that Voyage is 'fun' but a pain in the neck, literally. So I'm sure the trains are more for comfort and I'm sure they'll work but I definitely think they should've stayed closer to the mainstream wooden train look while adapting for comfort.

And yes, regardless of all opinions besides mine, this is definitely setting us up to leave the primitive woodie behind...

Apparently speaking as the only tall person in this thread, the legroom looks great.

The trains will track better, so I think we can all agree that this will kill the wooden roller coaster as we know it, much like Millenium Flyers have. It'll be interesting to see how much play the restraints have and whether or not this will make the ride more intense than with the PTCs.

Being an unreasonable person, I will withhold further judgment until I actually ride it come May.

it seems odd to go for gerstlauer trains, as GCI just recently retracked the entire ride.
