Yes! It's the 3rd time that I'm going to America and if possible it would be awesome if there could be some meetups.

I'm going for about 3 weeks to America. First one week in NYC and after that the Themepark visits can start, because I'm going back to Florida!

I'll be flying to NYC on the 5th. Departing from Amsterdam and arriving in NYC. After about one week NYC to explore the city and maybe visit some closed coasters it's further down to Florida.
I'll be flying towards Orlando on the 12th, then about 2 weeks later, I'll be flying back home on the 24th.

But now, about the meetups. Both locations would be cool, as a Themepark meet or just non-themepark meet. Who here is up to a meetup in that period?

Places and dates:
6-11 november: NYC
13-23 november: Orlando (No Disney parks [;)])

I haven't ridden both rides yet. Been today to IOA for about 3 hours. Max queue: 5 minutes. [pshades] Would have went to the studios but the Rip Rocket Ride was closed today...

Tomorrow we'll be going to Busch Gardens Tampa. Anyone? [lol]

I havent gotten back to Busch Gardens since 2005, and instead have been to other parks. So how much of a difference do they make?.

I just returned from my day at Busch Gardens, No queues at all. Max queue was 15 minutes at the Rhino Rally, Rollercoasters. Everything walk on, except the front row's on some rides. Those we're like 5-15 minutes depending on the amount of trains on the track.

About Sheikra's difference on trains. Personally they don't add anything to the experience at all. Even front seat it didn't felt anything better to me.
I think they have even trimmed the ride more now since the floorless trains. They need to use the brakes at the top of the first drop, and they even brake you to an almost complete stop at the 2nd drop! WTF! With the old trains I remember going much faster down that 2nd drop...

Yay for double posting!

I got back from Seaworld. Great day! Sun was great and the crowd wasn't too big. Max queuetime: 20min at Manta and that was around the start of our day. The rest of the day the queue was around 5 to 10 minutes. [pshades] All other rides: Walk on! [pshades]

Manta itself is a beautyfull Rollercoaster and it beats Tatsu imo [:)] I personally love the front seat a bit more than the backseat. Simply because the airtime just before diving down into that pretzel loop. The ride is surprisingly smooth and even that pretzel loop felt really good. (At Tatsu it really shaked a lot!)
Front seat also feels a lot more powerfull than in the rear. I love it!

Best flyer so far but that wasn't too hard out of the list what i've ridden so far: Air, Tatsu and Manta... [lol]

I'll be returning somewhere next week on a weekday. Just to see if it's less crowded, so I can stay seated [:D]

tomorrow I'm going to take a nice swim at Aquatica. I want to see the new waterpark. [:)]

Today it was the day that i've been to Universal Studios. Trying to ride the new Rip Rocket Ride. When we came into the park, the ride still had a breakdown. So of to the other coaster. After a nice marathon of no queue at The Mummy, I went back to Rip Rocket Ride. Apparently, it just opened. One test train, and the 2nd train was filled with people. Yes!
After entering the queue it was waiting for a ride. But as I already guessed. Breakdown! About 15 minutes later, it was back up again. But only about 2-3 laps later. Back in a much longer breakdown... After about 30 minutes in the Queue waiting, we were all asked to exit the queue...

... So here started the long time of waiting stubborn in front of the entrance until it opened again. I ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes(!) for a ride... I did had the front seat on the very first train that left after the extreme breakdown. But I had a ride!
Later on the day I had 2 more laps in total.

Personally I'd prefer the backseat on this ride. It provides much more airtime than the front. The non-inverting loop is cool. But that's about it actually. After the first helix the whole ride gets very tame. Although that the other helix near the end is still a little fun.
IMO they could have done much more with this ride. This layout just feels like one of my many scrapped NL rides... lol
The music is a cool add-on, but imo it can do perfectly without.

On the day I didn't ride much, only a cool mummy marathon of 8 and 7 rides. Including a couple private rides. [:D]

Personally, the Mummy stays the best Rollercoaster from the studios. [:)]

Tomorrow it's Back to Busch Gardens or back to Sea World. We'll see [:)]
