Today it was the day that i've been to Universal Studios. Trying to ride the new Rip Rocket Ride. When we came into the park, the ride still had a breakdown. So of to the other coaster. After a nice marathon of no queue at The Mummy, I went back to Rip Rocket Ride. Apparently, it just opened. One test train, and the 2nd train was filled with people. Yes!
After entering the queue it was waiting for a ride. But as I already guessed. Breakdown! About 15 minutes later, it was back up again. But only about 2-3 laps later. Back in a much longer breakdown... After about 30 minutes in the Queue waiting, we were all asked to exit the queue...
... So here started the long time of waiting stubborn in front of the entrance until it opened again. I ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes(!) for a ride... I did had the front seat on the very first train that left after the extreme breakdown. But I had a ride!
Later on the day I had 2 more laps in total.
Personally I'd prefer the backseat on this ride. It provides much more airtime than the front. The non-inverting loop is cool. But that's about it actually. After the first helix the whole ride gets very tame. Although that the other helix near the end is still a little fun.
IMO they could have done much more with this ride. This layout just feels like one of my many scrapped NL rides... lol
The music is a cool add-on, but imo it can do perfectly without.
On the day I didn't ride much, only a cool mummy marathon of 8 and 7 rides. Including a couple private rides. [:D]
Personally, the Mummy stays the best Rollercoaster from the studios. [:)]
Tomorrow it's Back to Busch Gardens or back to Sea World. We'll see [:)]
