hey so im trying to get a transition to a turn like this.
Image
ive followed entrophys tutorials on youtube about drops and stations and stuff

but im trying to get a smooth transition into this turn. ive tried with single-zone force and curved geometry, but all of the lead outs start to curve either up or the opposite way.

please can i get some help. this would be greatly appreciated.

Don't have the transition one second long. Have it longer w/ around an 80 degree bank. You might also want to have the orientation as Quaternion.

ive tried changing time. it only makes the radius larger.

Try adjusting the roll setting. Sometimes that makes a big difference in what direction the track is heading in.

What radius?

Well, a better way to do it is have the banking transition be in Multi-Zone force and have the forces start at around two and get up to four and pull into the bank. Because i notice a pump as you start of the positive vertical force.

^^^ the radius of the track segment.
and im trying to get a smooth transition into this turn. should i have the normal force at 1? because thats what i have it now.

Here, have the vertical force transition as sextic and subtract about one from the force value. Hope that helps.

Edit:Don't have it at negative one subtract about one from four. And notice how there isn't a pump coming into the positive vertical force. And I actually have the heartline height at 1.3 so don't completely base it off of mine as long as you get the general idea.

its an intamin coaster so the heartline should be at .9. that would change the shaping.

^
linear
quadratic
cubic
quartic
quintic
sextic

The preface "sex" refers to the number six, and "tic" indicates it is an order of an equation. Translates to "6th order".

That's why I said use the general idea.

Yeah dude just keep practicing and thinking about what you'd feel at a certain point in your track. If something doesn't work, modify it and try again. You'll learn through trial and error.

Well I see you have gotten more than enough pointers but I couldn't help but notice seeing that you are using Single-Zone force. I wouldn't recomomend using the Multi-Zone tool because It enables you to be more precise about you g-forces. Sometimes by doing that, it can help you get the shape that you want.

You don't always need multi-zone force. For that kind of transition, you don't need to but some transitions you do. You still can but the sextic transition work pretty well.

I would always use multizone rather than single zone if I were you. Single zone only limits you.

multi-zone force does allow for some different track shaping options. thanks though
