I REALLY hope this isn't a repeat of common knowledge. School tends to keep me "out of the loop". This announcement totally blew over my head. I think the new trains look quite neat and will have a good application for newer rides. I don't see the 4 seaters working too well on existing looping coasters and SLCs.

Definately B&M like! But it will also increase capacity by alot! I just hope that the trains can make for a smoother experience as well.

I also like the look of these trains. Seems Vekoma is headed in the right direction even if its very similar to B&M.

Also, the innovation isnt just in the track & train. Apparently they found some new fabrication method, where instead of cooling the peices, they use some curing process to trap the metal in the mold that its in after they fire it, then use some chemicals to make it tamperable. I just hope it makes a difference in smoothness.

That's pretty cool. IMO they couldve come up with some better colors for battle star, its so dragonsish. I guess its cool for attraction consistency among the universal parks.

stability, you need a lead (or follow) car on coasters that have only 1 axle per car. Some put seats on the zero car, others don't, leaving just a simple axle with a fancy piece of plastic

yeah the train just looks like they stuck "vekoma" on a B&M train, but the new track stly looks horrible, it looks really cheap... so it is an improvement. [lol] But I'm not a fan of the way the track looks atm.

Just because it has 4 seats in a row, it's suddenly a B&M Rip-off? Well, the seats itself are totally different and i've tested them out. Wonderful seats imo. Especially the new flying coaster seats, Those are personally even better then B&M's!

^can't say if they new flyer seats are better than the old onces, but they are damm nice. Lots of freedom and still it's safe.

For the Inverted seats, these new seats ARE better then the B&M seats. You guys can say B&M rip-off as much as you like, but this is just the way it is. And than again, B&M ripped of things of Vekoma too. The new ride looks good and especialy the dueling is innovative and something new, and as coaster fans that fact alone should be something to be happy about :)

It isn't just that it has 4-seats in a row though is it? They genuinely look like B&M trains. The shape of the lead car and everything. I mean, I understand that there isn't that much you can do to make it look different, but the comment can still be made that they do look like B&M trains. Whether that is a good or a bad thing, it's still the truth.

No Dirk, IMO more than just the 4 across seating arrangement was taken from the B&M design. Yes some components are different, but overall it looks like they took the base B&M sitdown and inverted designs and said 'hmm...how can we change this B&M train to make it so we don't infringe on any copyrights?'

Out of interest, why is the inverted train in the middle of the track in the second video?

Red track's layout looks extremely slow and boring. Judging by the curvature at the top of the lift, it looks like this is about as fast as it's going to launch. If it weren't for the launched lift and steep first drop, it would practically be a family coaster. The blue side looks fun, though. I like the vertical loop around the lift hills.

The blue side is the more intense side of this ride. The red side is a family coaster.

Should have cloned Dueling Dragons instead of this lol. Universal must be a bit strapped for cash if a Mummy clone and dueling vekomas are the primary focus coaster wise.

Wow, never thought there were so many coasternoobs here, as far as I remember, numberwise Vekoma is one if not the biggest coaster company on earth.

With the new trains' wheel's on the outside of the rails, it will hopefully lead to A LOT smoother ride.
