Looking very, very nice so far. I especially like the scenery work, (catwalks, station....), that your doing there. You definately need some patience to do them the at the standard i can see here. I think, however, that you should leave the terrain flat and just alter it in places that need doing so, instead of having hills and mountains. And also, from my knowledge of dive machines (which isnt huge), the first drop should not have a completely straight section. It should have a very long lead-in (?) that only becomes 90 degrees at the last minute. If you look at this picture you will know what i mean :
http://rcdb.com/2662.htm?p=11839
There is never a straight section on the drop, and if you look at the first two track pieces, you will see that they are both still gradually getting steeper and steeper, and there is olny a moment of full 90 degrees.
Not 100 percent sure if what i have said here is true, but from what i have seen from pictures and in person, there is never a fully straightened out section of track during the first drop.
Apart from that, its looking great!

This looks like an awesome ride! I really love the 3ds waterfall, and I really need to learn how to make it...anyway back on topic. What method of building did/are you use/using for this? Handbuilding or is it tooled?

Yeah! Some small details looks liek it needs tweaking, but everything otherwise looks great. I Suggest trying to get a better water texture that matches better.

I'd recommend covering up the gap between the tunnel and the water, just to make it look a bit nicer.

Looks really good though! When I first saw just the terrain, I thought it would look kind of wierd, but you did a really good job with the 3ds on the falls.

Can't wait to ride.

Those wheels are ridiculously high poly. I see you're only getting 8-12fps....might want to cut some things down.

High poly objects look better though, keep them! If someones computer can't handle it, then they should simply turn the graphics settings down.

As we just went through in the X Force topic....there's a difference between looking nice and being unnecessary.

I'm sorry, I didn't follow that topic. I may just go check it out though in a few minutes. I honestly had no troubles with X Force though, not a dip below 100fps the entire coaster. Going in the simulator and lowering detail settings shouldn't be an issue though for people that have computers that can't handle it. I personally don't see a problem here, however its not my coaster. If it were me, I would keep it high poly and record an HD video and host it on YouTube for those that have FPS issues. Since it is not me though, if he wants to change it for the sake of the majority then there should be no argument.

--edit--

Just another thought as well, keeping it high poly would not reduce the number of viewers given if a video option is available. It would actually increase the possible number of viewers as people who don't have NoLimits would be able to ride the coaster too.

Yes but you can't cruise around to actually rate the ride well (check for bumps and pumps, see how someone did something, etc) if the editor causes a catastrophic crash.

You all do check the editor when rating like that to help with problems I assume....
