Well, it's official. I'm gonna tackle the Riddler by hand. I've been wanting to recreate this ride since I got NL.

I built the lift and drop from memory. So the drop is definitely off as well as the lift angle. I think I have the proper turn out of the station.

What is your opinion? Be honest.

I'd like to have the queue and station areas in 3ds. I haven't been practicing Wings3D. If anyone would like to attempt that send a PM.

Can someone do the simple car texture? Green cars, black nose with the Riddler question mark.

I plan to keep this thread updated every 1 to 2 weeks with progress.

Why Hand build for a B&M? it will be very difficult keeping it accurate and pump free.

Because I don't know any of the tools for track building. A week after I started using Newt2, my PC almost crashed. I don't know if I should try installing it again.

They're not that steep. Only a select few are even above 35.
Just keep scrolling...

32* seems to be a very common figure for chain lifts on all coaster types by all coaster manufacturers. B&M may be different in their approach, but it will definitely be around that mark.

One he first day as I promised, I got a lot of perspective pics of Riddler for you. I was going to get some Batman: The Ride pics for my ride, but it was closed today WITH BLUE TRACK?!? I went to some employee with worries of the new color as it looked horrible, and he said that the color was a mistake made by the painters and it SHOULD be Black and Grey (<thank god).

Anyway, pm me your e-mail and I will send them by X-Mas...

It looks decent so far but I can't really see much from what you've posted (I know you probably don't have much). Watch out for how B&M uses banking on standups to avoid a ridiculously huge heartline in places and for their random straight sections of track (the G killing areas).

^Agreed. The transitions will be tricky. Thanks for the pics Turbo. PM sent.

I have the lift, drop and loop as of yesterday. Not permanent of course. I somehow forgot to get all of the inversion heights.

And yes the green is not the correct color. That's the last thing to worry about.

Transitions like this one Coasterkid.

Banking in middle area is off. Banked too much.

Opinions? I won't be moving on to the Dive Loops until the entire lift, drop and loop are in the correct places, size, banking etc. I think I need a better sim picture of the station turn out. From the same side as the real pic, yes?

Stats:
I've matched lift and drop height to within a foot. 156ft lift 146ft drop.

Speed is 65mph max is 67mph (probably without riders). Should I go with 66mph max or try to only hit 65?

Lift hill takes 50secs in a POV online. Drop also has a max vertical angle of 54 degrees. I need a protractor right?

Yes it is. I don't think anyone has done this ride yet. I'm diving in head first. I think I can pull it off. I'm going to try to get everything within inches of the real ride.

Getting someone to do 3ds of the station and queue/exit lines and the trough where the second corkscrew is located will be hard too.

Please don't expect a rushed project. Shoot me if I release this ride in the 3 months.

Don't handbuild recreations unless it's a woodie. That's what I say :/

I will take a shot at this. Knowing B&M, their rides are very precise in terms of heartlining and smoothness. Making a recreation of one of their rides by handbuilding will be a huge challenge because heartlining, banking, and shaping will be very hard to do accurately.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I did try to recreate this ride back when I was a n00b4tr0n, but I remember giving up on it, because no matter what I did, it never seemed to match up in any way. I guess it was because I was a n00b and I was handbuilding it. I would say that it would be implausible to get this ride particularly accurately without the use of tools

this isn't gonna be easy, and yes i agree with you, the loop does need to be more like those lines, it looks very lopsided.

Loop needs to be redone, enters on the wrong side.

I understand that using tools would be beneficial for a ride like this. The only problem is I don't know how to use any of the tools available. Elementary is confusing to me, HSAK the same and Newt2, last time I tried it my PC crashed. Plus I really don't know how to use Newt2 either.

I'm going to do my best and most important of all, take my time to be thorough and not rush through. I have it broken down by sections.

1 - Brakes, station, lift, drop and loop
2 - Dive Loops
3 - Inclined Loop to MCBR
4 - Cork 1 to right before track crosses lift towards cork 2
5 - Cork 2 to brakes
