I personally think that 2000 was the best year. Boss, Boulder Dash, Goliath (Magic Mountain), Katun, Kraken, Legend, Lightning Racer, Mega Zeph, Millennium Force, Son of Beast, Speed, Steel Dragon 2000, Superman Krypton Coaster, Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA). Yeah, it was a really good year ride addition wise. And most parks weren't doing bad or anything if I can remember.

Year: 2000 for all the kick @$$ rides that opened that year.
Best Coaster: Boulder Dash
Worst: SOB (Even though I had fun...it was rough as hell)
Best Move: CF FINALLY adding some GCI's
Worst: Bizarro
Best Park: CP
Worst: SFKK for losing any business what so ever.
Worst Year: 2009 for losing BBW and a complete lack of originality for new rides. 2 Bizarros, 2 Intimidators (Even though that's technically 2010), and just lack of interesting news thus far.
Best Improvment: Alot of them.
Worst: Changing back from coastercrazy.com
Surprise: Gueaga Lake closing (DAMN YOU SIX FLAGS!)
Most Successful: Cedar Fair
Least: Six Flags (Surprise Surprise)

I know it went under as a CF park...I was referring to the rapid building SF did to it that cuased it to crash and burn. Had SF not taken over GL...GL would still be around...granted it wouldn't be as big as it was with CF but it would still be here.

All right, I can see that for some people MF isn't the best coaster on the planet, but calling it the worst of the decade? Come on, there are plenty of coasters worse than MF, even if you hate it. What about the jet coasters built in 2009?
