The only Sim I haven't seen Is RCT. I know that most of you out there own it. and I would like to see an exchange for that. Heck I have been in the mood to start creating scenarios again and I know some people out there would like to do the same. So maybe you can add an RCT section.

Thanx

Maybe this is a good idea WWS, since coastergames.net is gone there isn't a coaster game site left for rct. Maybe a nice idea to implent it in the track exchange if not too much work.

we're considering this, we're debating though on how to work out the file sizes and stuff, I mean you know those parks are huge and what not in file size, zipping them brings them down to a quarter of their original size and stuff. We also require only jpeg images here and rct does BMP, if I am not mistaken, our image processor would display a black image and what not. Also we're in the middle of transporting to a new redesigned exchange. Question, can you do modded RCT tracks/parks that require a special download or all is striahgt forward?

I think RCT2 does not need any patch to run a park, even if it was built with trainers.

ok SO I would only need one icon RCT2 Icon to be made and not an RCT2 Mod icon. OK when I see my graphics guy I'll ask him to whip up another of those exchange icons, since I don't have the original I can't do it my self, and if he does not show up then I'll end up redoing them. OK well gimme some time as this icon gets done, the coding for the exchange add in is easy.

I don't think RCT or RCT2 is a good idea for this site. First off the RCT GAMES are not a simulator, it is more of a GAME. Also if you do add a RCT section, the track exchange will be flooded with RCT tracks, at times cg.net would have tons of RCT tracks uploaded with in a matter of minutes and most on the track people post are just so they can post, half of them have no true value only a few people put time into making a GOOD RCT track. Also (this happens to me), the second some one puts up a NL, HR or SM track, you hope that people would DL your coaster after seeing it on the main Track Exchange page, but knowing people who post RCT tracks form cg.net some one will post like five RCT track, and your coaster wont be on the main track exchange page for people to see. Personally I think it is a bad idea to add RCT to this already great site. Also for you RCT people you can post your tracks at: www.americacoasters.com so don't say their isn't a site.

Oh yeah, that's a great idea! Maybe WWS will except it for the new site!

Maybe it is a better idea to make a seperate RCT exchange for tracks only because parks are too big in file size. But when a rct track is posted the screenshot should not appear on the main page. This way only NL, SM, DC and HR tracks will get on the latest 5 uploaded at the main page.

rct1 and rct2 are currently supported at www.coastercrazy.com different site different uploads, well, covers all here plus rct 1 and 2 and covers tracks, saved games and scenarios where parks and scenarios MUST be zipped before uploading to that exchange. I have not come to a decision whether to add or not add rct to this site. I want to geth through with the remake and afterwards with the way it is being coded all I have to do is edit one page to add another game about 5 minutes I assume, where as right now I would have to edit about 4-5 pages plus a database, which isn't long 10-20 minutes but like I said I want to get the site ready first before anything else.

ha, lol @ rct flooding the exchange, not one rct track is uploaded [:(] Maybe I should upload some of my own. There was about 4 on coastercrazy, b4 when the sites were divorced, now that they're married (lol) they couldn't get transfered. I'd like to see some rct tracks though. they're quite fun to look at. oh well, forum and support for it on exchange is there, just the users not using it.
