Has anyone been to this indoor aquatic center in Maryland? I really want to try out the two 40 foot high tube slides and do some diving. Has anyone been on the slides?

http://www.kidstreetnews.com/indoor-pools.htm

Swim Center Splashdown, 10400 Cross Fox Lane, Columbia, Md. 410-730-7000, www.columbiaassociation.com. Two 40-foot high, 360-foot long slides that twirl and swirl you into a large swimming pool. Those seeking less splash, but equal fun will enjoy a diving well with a one meter springboard and jungle rope swing. Splashdown admission is free to Columbia Association Package Plan Plus members, $8 for CA Members, $10 for Columbia residents not CA members and $12 for non-Columbia residents who are not CA members.

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

why would you even want to go there? all of the kids pictured on the website are less than five years old.

Are you going to roll your golf ball collection down the water slide?

That would be very cool to watch them pour out of the slide, but the lifeguards would not like that.

Here's a picture of the 20 year old twin tube slides. They look kind of grimy and off white. The right one looks like is has many turns and maybe a helix?

I would probably go there, but I wouldn't post a topic about it.

I heard they are getting renovated. I hope they jazz them up really nice and make them more nice looking. The probably look really weird inside when riding.

This is where I heard of improvments for the slides.
Improvements were also made to Splashdown, the center's four-story, two-flume water slide. The flumes were coated with gel and wax to make swimmers' rides down slicker. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2002-1 ... -swim-team
