2010 CoasterCrazy NoLimits Tournament

Yes it is that time of the year again, tournament time. Most of the tournament will go just as any other year, with small changes, but I will address them later on.

Signing up
At this point it is important that you sign up if you want to join. Signing up is easy, you simply post you want to join in this topic and you?????????re in. Do note that you should have at least 50 posts in order to join.
You can enter the tournament at the latest on January 31st, 11:59 PM CCT (CoasterCrazy Time). Then the first round will start.

Rounds
The template and rules will be uploaded and member will get 3 weeks to get their coaster build and sent in. Templates and rules will vary between rounds, but they are always ?????????themed????????? to a coaster that is being build/opened in 2010.

There are 4 rounds in total. In the first round everybody competes with everybody. The top 16 advance to round 2.
From that point, players will be matched up against each other and only the best player of each match will advance, regardless of its rating compared to others.
In round 3, the top 8 from round 2 continue to compete in pairs and only the top 4 will make it to the final and 4th round.
But, if there are more than 48 valid submissions (not counting disqualifications), 32 players will advance to round 2 to be matched up and the final round will be round 5.
Also, if none of two players from one match are unable to sent in a valid track, the best of the ?????????losers????????? of that round will take their place and advance to the next round.

Submitting and judging
This will be a bit different than other years. Instead of submitting your ride through the exchange, you must mail it to Oscar. Once the deadline has passed, Oscar will remove all membernames and forward the tracks to me and gouldy. We then rate the tracks, discuss the results and combine the ratings.
It should be clear that it is prohibited to post anything related to your coaster in order to keep the judges un-biased.

Prize money
This year you can will some hard cash by competing in the tournament:
1st: $25
2nd: $15
3rd: $10
Well, not really hard cash, all prizes will be paid out through paypal.

FAQ
Q: Will we be able to post our tracks for each round after the results for that round are up?
A: Yes

Q: What judgeing deadline have you given yourselves?
A: None. Mainly because I have no idea how long rating tracks with two judges is going to take. Also, the amount of tracks that are send in is an important factor.
