..... There's one chain. The other thing you're seeing is the anti-rollback ratchet.

Definitely airtime there.

Just because it's called Jet Coaster, doesn't mean it is one. Space Mountain isn't actually a mountain in space.

The angle of decent is greater than 15 degrees, it is NOT a jet coaster.

Why do you people not get this!?

Thank You... Although i think the max. angle is 30 degrees, not 15.

30 degrees is steeper than you think, don't forget. If you came across a road with a 30 degree incline, you wouldn't be driving down it in a normal car, that's for sure!

either way, i think the 60 degree or so drop in freddie's video was way too steep.

yeah, some people seem to think that just because a coaster is in asia somewhere and has catlwaks along the length of the ride, that automatically makes it a jet coaster. Look at the banking and drops and stuff on that ride in the video. It is NOT a jet coaster.

Jet coasters are those coasters that have very straight drops and hills at about 15 degrees with corners at such a height that they do not need banking, yet produce no lateral g's. And even though the hills have sharp tops with no real transition, the train crests the hill at a slow enough speed for it not to matter (Hence all of the anti-roll back stuff and catwalks). The coasters you are showing do not fit these criterion and are therefore not jet coasters, they are simply just jet coaster styley in the way they look.

Yeah, it is sorta like calling Gemini a wooden coaster.

Hey uh just an FYI no company sells a "jet coaster" model, it's just an English name foreign parks picked because they thought it meant something.

Cool5 is making a Meisho AS HE STATED (see Thunder Coaster at Nasu Highlands), and those do all kinds of weird things so I think he is doing just fine although I'm not a fan of the helix drop.

Obviously no one sells "jet coasters", it's a slang term.

that wikipedia definition is the definition of "roller coaster", not jet coaster. It just redirects you to the "roller coaster" page.

Yes. If you look at the article, it says:

"the term jet coaster is used for roller coasters in Japan."

If you can find a definition that explains your reasoning, I will believe you.
