I posted the first construction video on YouTube a few days ago, and completely forgot to start a topic over here till just now. Now that the second Construction video is posted, I'll just post the two below. Please help come up with a name, and/or theme idea. If you absolutely hate it just because its another damn Intamin launch coaster and think it should be scrapped, type away savagely with all caps. I'll understand. [^]

Video 1

Video 2 - Don't like the song, get over it.

I had to watch both those videos on mute.

But i really like the ride. Finally something thats not a bunch of spins thrown together. Looks like an zero g whore.

As always, a good terrain is very much appreciated.

How could you complain about a band like System. Especially when you consider that talentless second song, haha. XD I'm not one to mind screaming, that's not my problem. But dear god, that was a mess.

WHAT, ANOTHER LAUNCH??? SCRAP IT NOW, JUST FORGET ABOUT IT. YOU CAN"T DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO, THINK ON YOUR OWN???

Haha nahh, I build them too. I'm working on what will be my third launched ride.(2nd Inta-launch and I have one X-car lanuch.) A roller coaster is a roller coaster and there are going to be other rides out there of the same type and people need to get that into their heads, haha. But yeah, I think this looks pretty sweet actually. Seems to have a certain something that will give it a nice score originality wise! You have any idea on when you plan to post?

This is an intamin rocket, so you know coasterkidmvm is gonna get his panties in a tangle over this... and probably a few other people too.

To me it looks awesome, i don't care if its an intamin rocket, and if a bunch or babbling retards think otherwise, Screw them. btw, system rocks. (but scars on broadway is terrible, darren is an ugly drug addict failure who can't sing worth crap)

woah, that is some of the smoothest trackwork I've seen from anybody.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Thanks for the comments guys.. I'd say upload may be next Sunday. I'll be posting one more video (POV) on YouTube before that. So subscribe if you want to ride early!

--edit--

That little zero-g whore comment by MrPhilly inspired me to make a little map showing the +/- forces throughout the layout. All forces were taken from the front seat at 50% time. The back seats hardly differ from the front, with the exception of the very first drop. For that first dive the backseat receives a plentiful -1.3g's (highest negatives for whole coaster, no worries)!

Add horizontal cross ties to the tall supports to make them look better.

^supports aren't about looks, but about function. you could have the coolest looking supports in the world, but they mightn't hold up the track, leading to catastrophe.

Correction: supports aren't ONLY about looks. See Millennium Force. The support designer's job is to create a visually-appealing, consistent, structurally sound support system. If it's ugly, chances are nobody will ride. If it's pretty, but doesn't hold up the track, nobody will ride either. The trick is to find a balance between functionality and aesthetically-appealing-ness.

I think what cool5 means is that horizontal cross-ties will make the supports more realistic, and they would certainly add strength.

That is what I assumed he was saying. As I said though, I'm not done with them.

waaat? Are you serious? Supports only follow function. Their one and only job is to hold up the track in the cheapest way possible. Who cares how supports look.

Ahh, I'm a little stuck at the moment. I can't get any objects to import or export in Sketchup with out the damn thing crashing to desktop. There was just an update a few days ago for sketchup I applied that I think may be causing this problem. Sketchup was working just fine weeks ago. Tomorrow I will be attempting to uninstall/reinstall Sketchup (I have the original installer on my hard drive somewhere, just need to locate it) and see if that fixes the issue.. If it is not, than maybe it could be one of the recent Windows Updates that caused it. I don't know, I'll figure it out but I just thought I would keep you guys posted on whats going on here on my end.

Anyone got a name yet?
I think I may just call it "Doodle". [/sarcasm]
--edit--
Come to think of it, "Doo" or "Do" could be a possibility.

Sandstorm is alright; I just wish it could be a bit more original you know? Ahhhh, what about Black Blizzard? A little awkward, but I like it.

But....the ride's not black [:P]
Honestly, I like quake, but do what you want. I just won't download it unless it's named Quake. Actually, that's a lie. The ride looks fantastic.
