I have no idea, but it would be an excuse to go to SFNE.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

all the complaints in the world aren't going to change the minds of Six Flags company, Superman is gone, they had their reasons and it's done. they didn't change the coaster, just the trains and themeing.

but hey that's just my opinion...

It could accomplish making Six Flags consider not f*cking up like that again.
And the reason they did it in the first place is simply to attract the sucker GP.

if your referring to the general public when you mention GP, that is the whole point of changing the coaster, to get more people to ride it.

They are going to change the ride to suit their needs, which this time meant more ridership, don't put in a new coaster, it would be cheaper to just re-theme a current one to spark new life into it.

Bad idea? depends on who you ask really, ask the general public and most will say its a new ride, new adventure. ask the coaster community and its instantly a bad idea..

You, like almost all others I've seen in these "coaster communities," underestimate the "GP." I haven't heard much else about Bizarro SFGAdv other than "Yeah It's just Medusa painted with some fire and music, not a new ride." Of course many people go to the park because they expect a new ride, but people around the parks (who seem to be the biggest demographic) have seen these giant structurs for 10+ years, and know they're not new. They're not stupid. They may not know the names Intamin and B&M (nor do they need to), but do you really think they can't tell when something they've experienced say 5+ times over the past 10 years changed colors and isn't completely new?

I actually enjoyed bizarro at SFGAdv alot. They didnt change the trains on that one.

And as for the restraints. The reason they suck is because they go on your thighs instead of your waist, so it hurts really bad on the hill that used to be my favorite. And it makes it impossible to get your legs to fit well in the car.

Heres a good example of it.

It was originally going to look like this though and they changed it last minute-

it amazes me that nobody bothered to check whether the restraints fit right or not before slapping them on a ride.

I'm sure they did. And I'm sure it's the state who wanted the bigger ones.

Yes, but couldn't they just make the bigger ones fit right? it doesn't seem like that big an issue to fix.

it wouldn't be, except it would cost six flags a fair bit of money to replace the restraints on every car. not that money is an issue though...

beautifull. The old trains were so sexy.

The new ones look really messed up on the lift and drop because of the freaking headrests.

I don't know how much longer this rant of a topic can continue, but yes I agree. That thing looked sexy.

^Amen. It's not a rant, but a discussion.
I think the new train's look pretty cool, on the grounds that if those trains were implemented on the coaster origionally. But i suppose the old ones are slightly better on the eye.
What's the soundtrack like? Does anyone know?

You can hear the soundtrack in this:

OMG i loooovve the soundtrack on the lift so much. I hate the rest. Wouldnt it be AMAZING if they had made it so that it just had speakers on the catwalks on the lift and brakerun! this would eliminate the headrests and loud speakers in your ears the whole ride. Just imagine...

Having the suspenseful soundtrack playing up the lift and then right after it says didnt your dad ever tell you to walk before you leap. Then you fly down the drop in silence...

Then it would continue without random crap in your ears.

Then you return to the brake run and the speakers on the catwalk say "that just happenned" and then the bizarro music.

^^^ That crew is slow. That train should have been long gone before the other one hit the brakes.

Also, ride sounds a little weird. It's almost like the consistent action of the wheels getting wet, dry, wet, dry is affecting the performance and sound of the ride.

Edit: The fact there is rust on the rails shows me that they did a piss poor job of repainting it, and that the wheels are in fact not shedding water. Somebody better make a call captain corrosion.

I totally agree, I am and was so disappointed when I realized they changed this. The ride is the same, but the new trains SUCK, as does the soundtrack and sucky "effects". My dream would be for them to revert to the previous colors and naming scheme.

That crew may have been slow, but after the collision years ago, they do not dispatch the train in the station until the other train is over the last bunny hop. Due to the blocking system, the train will halt just at the bottom of the lift if the second train isn't on the final brake run. Therefore, to avoid an automatic E-stop (which requires some down time), they won't dispatch the train until the conditions above have been met. Trust me, I've seen them just WAIT 15-30 seconds or so while the other train runs it's course.

When i was walking out of catwomans whip i actually found a peice of purple paint. I still have it tucked in a book. It proves that they did a poor job painting it.
