I am sick of b&m hypers, haha. But this will be interesting.
I wonder how many will actually enter...

Honestly, I don't see why there are so many questions.

What? without knowing where the track can go after crossing the blue line we could be disqualified for nothing!
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

^^It's not stupid. It's stupid to have a question, not ask, and find out that possibly what you did or did not do, which might have been relevant to the question you might of had, was wrong...

...so not stupid...quite smart actually. It's called double checking.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

Alright, I have a question. What exactly is the extent of "minor terraforming"? I realize the rules say trenches are ok, but moving mountains isn't. There's quite a large gray area there. Where is the line?

EDIT: Also, is it ok for the top of the train to go above the blue 70m line?

I'm actually liking how this track is coming together... Unlike the previous contest non-submits.
Just keep scrolling...

My drop is sick!! 2000 ft so far just made it to the blue line. Better track than my last contest track, also hyper train.

So tell your emo clique to quit making them. That's half of the problem right there.

just to clarify this means crossing ti 2 times not the track having to go over it come back then over it again?

You cross it once when 'exiting' the template, and the 2nd time is when you 'enter' the template again. The blue line is the only point where the template can be exited and entered.

Quick question: is the train allowed outside the red line as it passes even if the track is not?

Yes. However, getting this close to the borders is not very wise.

does the red x include the little part of it thats in the water? I dont want to remove more trees than I have to

Yes, you can build on the water.

I assume tree addition is allowed? I don't think I saw that stated explicitly in the rules, but I assume it's OK if you're allowing 3DS.

Tree addition is allowed.

There isn't really a point in that grey area where minor terraforming suddenly becomes major terraforming. Just use your common sense and don't make any landscape changes that would double the cost of the actual coaster. But don't worry, you basically have to the terrain upside-down to be DQ'd over it. Just keep it simple.

Woah, I actually think I have a chance of getting to the second round!

EDIT: Wait, i just thought of something... If Gouldy hates newton will we be graded down if we use it?

Maybe if you use it ineffectively and then complain when someone points it out like almost everyone that uploads anything does.

Yes, mayor point deduction if you'd use newton (2). But... Tons of bonus points when completely handbuilding a ride... [lol][lol][:D]

lol, anyone who actually knows me knows that I don't downrate because people have used Newton. If a track is good, i.e. it has a good layout, pacing is good, support work is good etc... you know, all of the important stuff, it's gets rated as is due.

I would like to hope that no one is genuinely questioning my integrity as a judge of NoLimits coasters? I have been on this site for 7 years, that makes me more pathetic than most of you, I hope you can realise that.

Yes, I realize both your competence and patheticness... lol, jk about the patheticness. I was just wondering if a newtoned track would be rated differently than a hand built track, I meant no offense.

Who needs Newt2 anyways? Handbuilders unite!!! I guess it saves time from using CTRL + G, lol. Plus Newton makes my PC crash.

The round seems perfectly fine, most people on this site just love to complain about everything, haha. If my NoLimits still worked I would have joined in...rats.

^^The template is awesome. I still don't see the complaints everyone refers to. I logged 6 hours of build time last night. My ride is spicy hot!!!
