No it's the results of a scientific study published in a peer-reviewed journal backed with data, not an opinion. Don't be so quick to dismiss what is probably years of work because you don't like it.

PS - It usually takes years to publish something like that, so try not to be an asshole an decide it's totally wrong and an "opinion" because you don't like it. Some grad student may have spent 6 years of his time (probably around 70 hours a week with his TA/RA position plus coursework), and this was probably a side effect they weren't even studying (like the creation of Viagra, it was supposed to be a heart medicine until the male test subjects noticed something was aloof).

You aren't entitled to your own facts, only opinions.

But, just for grins let's use your own logic here and see where is leads us: The Bible is thousands of years old (this is a fact as well), and yet you get to dismiss it just as easily because you do not like it; but rather get to state matter-of-fact-like that I must accept this study because it also took years to produce.

Come on man, it's either one or the other. You don't get to use your tools of dismissive commenting on things and then get your panties in a wad because someone else uses those same tools just as easily. I don't have to accept anything anymore than you do. So, pull that pole out of your arse and think through these things before speaking, it'll actually add credibility to your nonsense.

I dismiss it because it built upon poorly consolidated "data" and conveniently leaves out conflicting reports of the same events that are not as grandiose as what are published, all while encouraging slavery, the oppression of women, and has been the primary reason for why Africa is ruined and the numerous genocides across history that still occur even today in the name of it.

You don't have to accept it, it would just be nice that you acknowledge that actual data, time, and money went into it and they arrived at a given result and it's not someone sitting on their ass and making something up.
