Yeah that was really fast [8D] now they should finish the horizontal building as fast as possible [:p] the sooner the better.

lol You'd think since TTD was smaller (lengthwise [;)]) it'd get done faster? I guess going 420 ft. up in much colder climate can add to the length of time [:P]

Very quick indeed, its amazing how fast some of these coasters can be completed. When is it supposed to open to the public?? I get to go to SFMM during my spring break. Anyone know if it will be open by April 12th?

well from the data i could conjure up, its states that it will be sfmm 16th coaster and will go into the guiness books of records for having the most coasters on the planet. Cedar Point are also opening there 16th coaster, thus Scream should be opened before TTD to be the park with the most coasters, and TTD is opening may so sometime soon i guess

you know, i think B&M needs to make more origianal layouts for their coaster types. I can tell this is floorless because it goes through a loop, the 0-g, the cobra, then the interlocking corks conected with a tight turn. Maybe SFOG will get an origianal one with their HUGE budget! they might get a 70 foot high lift, followed by a 50 foot loop, then some turns, the a cork, and then it would finish. i know this is off subject, but if you get 454 million dollars from time-warrner in a lawsuit, you should get some better coasters than Deja Vu and the Georgia Scorcher! Jeez!

I wish SF would do something new instead of just cloned layouts all the time.

Its a proven way to make money. It costs more for SF to ask B&M to design an origonal design, than use a design used in another theme park. It works quite well when you own 30 some parks over a wide area and could effectivly create a unique ride experiance in the area and giving the same ride experiance elseware.

That's probably true, but I would think that it would be better to make a unique ride that no one has anywhere else.

they make clones for a reason, because they are good, if they sucked then they would not be bothering with cloned coasters.

I think B&M doesn't make it to open the ride, sooner than TTD. Or maybe they will because TTD is a prototype alot more testing has to be done, and it's a far more complicated track. So if B&M really turns op the speed and finish all the details which have to be done now really fast, SFMM can open Scream sooner than CP opens TTD.

BTW, they also make clones because they are cheaper, and they have a gaurantee to have a cool ride [8D]

TTD isn't that much of a prototype. I have seen lots about Xcelerator being TTD prototype.

I heard the Xcelerator is closed currently, when is it supposed to reopen?

I don't know I guess it will be pretty soon because they are only making support modifications. Probablt the top hat was a bit swinging [8D]

Intamin also did some work on Goliath at SFH the last days. They have enforced some supports with plates, i don't know the english name for it but see for yourself.

Anyways, back on topic. To return to CI's question, I don't think the ride will be open at April the 12th. The theming of a ride and electronics always take a whole lot of time. Since there still is alot of work to do i don't think it will be open by then [:(!] Too bad [V]

Actually, it wasn't the florless coaster s that started using the B&M lift, drop, loop, dive loop, barrel roll, cobra roll, double corkscrew ride design. The coaster that started this cliched design was Kumba at Busch Gardens, Tampa. I do agree that B&M should be more original. Since 1997 or so, this is just about the only track sequence they have used on looping coasters.

Ya they should have more original coasters but speaking of Kumba, I don't think that any of their other sitdown looping coasters follow that layout.

They use the same elements, but in different order patterns.

*on topic* i bet TTD opens first

*off topic*
its ironic, it seems that all of the best parks have a B&M coaster with those elements mentioned above by the tall elf, except SFOG, and guess which park i live near? SFOG! it may be an unorigianal layout but its a good one. too bad SFOG has so little space or they might get one. they freakin got 400 something million dollars from time-warner in 1997, and they can't have used up all of it yet, so why can't they get any new coasters that are big? sure, S:UF is fun but i want something tall, fast, exciting for once! that really has nothing to do with anything but i figure if i complain enough it might happen...
