That's what you get when you name a ride with that much new technology an unlucky number. Add that to the dead unicorn's curse and you get a disaster area.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

OK, so they said that due to weather they were unable to complete testing of the ride and that they were facing some minor technical difficulties.

I define a "minor technical difficulty" as something that can be resolved right now, same day, or overnight with parts on hand. Now what kind of weather caused this? Was it *rain*, *snow*, or some other form of precipitation falling from the sky?

If the ride is incapable of operating in the rain, why the hell did they even build the dam thing?

i can understand as alton had about a month of heavy snow fall which is really really unusual for the uk so i can understad the hinderance but that isnt my gripe about it.

what wrong with keeeping there promice with the tours and the reat of the awsome stuff over the weekend. a ride couldent be garenteed but whats wrong with a straight forward tour of the ride?

I think they were probably talking about the solid month in which we had snow on the ground. The UK usually gets a few days of snow across the whole year. So I would say that delayed parts of the construction, therefore pushing their testing back. Now they've run across the usual teething problems you get with a new ride (I imagine) and because of the delays, they haven't managed to resolve the issues in time.

My best effort as to what is wrong with the ride in order of likely hood.

1. They are working out how to resolve the bugs in the logic code that was developed and implemented by the lowest contracting bidder from a small province outside of Islamabad.

2. They fell behind in installing the control system, or they forgot to water proof certain components and the recent snow wreaked some havoc on it.

3. Every time the drive tires got wet, the train failed to make it up the lift. They are now frantically engineering and installing a traditional chain lift.

4. The ride is truly under the influence of demonic forces and there isn't a f-ing engineer on the planet that can fix it. In that case I recommend you call in a priest for an exorcism and will refer you to Mr. TConwell. After which you should take the following steps;

1. Define the problem.
2. Gather data/evidence.
3. Ask why and identify the causal relationships associated with the defined problem.
4. Identify which causes if removed or changed will prevent recurrence.
5. Identify effective solutions that prevent recurrence, are within your control, meet your goals and objectives and do not cause other problems.
6. Implement the recommendations.
7. Observe the recommended solutions to ensure effectiveness.

Well I have to congratulate you chaps for building a ride that can only be operated 45% of the year. You know we could have used that money for other things, like another season of Top Gear...
