Last week I was in Toverland, showing Looty around the place and while I was there, I figured I'd test some technique I read about.

The principle HDR photography is pretty simple, you take 3 pictures with different exposures and combine them. I'm pretty sure wikipedia has more info on this if you're interested.

Now I am no experienced photographer, nor do I have a DSLR (just a compact) and this was my first experience with HDR. So don't expect any masterpieces, but if you have any comments or tips, they are most welcomed.

What usually works for me is that I take about six different exposure shots and try not to have much motion in them and it usually works out nicely. Idk, that whats good for my camera.

Edit: sorry, I forgot to mention that I like your photos, especially the first one, good job.

For some odd reason, these remind me of Twilight [lol]
Whatever method you used, these look fantastic.
I'm in love with the first and last pictures.

These are awesome!

The third one is my favourite, there's something very artistic about it. Something about the European cloud cover gives them all a very dark miserable theme.

"reminded me of Twilight".

You're a real asshole Lewis you know that? He is just trying to play around with photographs. I think they came out really nice and he doesn't deserve that kind of an insult.

I simply said Twighlight. Obviously I was focusing on the pictures used in trailers and such. They are different from what you normally see. I agree that the movies are completely overrated but they are advertised well.

I simply called you an asshole. They're both just as bad.

No no, saying something is like Twilight is far worse an insult.

Thank you guys for all the comments, whenever I go to a park again, I hope I can bring back some neat HDR pictures.

The weather was alright, I rained in the morning, but the rest of the day it was just overcast. I used the HDR-technique to make the clouds more threatening.

Oh, by the way, here's a link to 5 images I used to compose one HDR image:
