Old/Crappy/Used Brass Instruments?

I was just wondering if anyone around here had any old or used cornets, flugelhorns, piccolo trumpets or the like that they would be willing to sell. Just post a pic! (I know it's not likely, but it never hurts to ask [:)])

I do... However, they are not in very good playing condition. I have a selman trumpet (Off brand) I used for marching band in HS and College. That just recently died on me. I have a Getzen Pro 700S. This was my concert trumpet but is now my marching horn. And my new baby! I got a Bach Stradivarius 43. This is my new horn I got for X-mas! I also have a flugel (in need of repairs), piccolo (cheapie, not worth playing), pocket trumpet(...), and a Bugle from WWII!

I got a yahama single french horn that's dented if you want it.


Nobody can get my double horn unless they offer me an assload of money.

Kevin, that's acceptable since you actually put low brass to good use. And euphoniums are awesome! [:p]

Wow coasterdave that's quite a collection! Right now I just have two trumpets (crap student yamaha and a higher level intermediate, i couldn't afford a pro horn), and a vintage cornet. Can you post a pic of the flugel? (just to see the extent of damage)

A double horn is when you have two french horns put together in two different keys and you switch between them with a thumb trigger.

It's an unknown standard Holton double horn. I looked up the serial number on the website and it came back as not existing, so my teacher thinks it was a prototype. Pretty much the valves are absolutely tits for the price range (rotary valves are usually awful).

^That's awesome! Haha I was thinking it was one of those double-belled horns (with one muted) as opposed to a double-key trigger ones.

Just picked up a vintage Olds Ambassador cornet off eBay. It's in great shape besides the lacquer being mostly gone, so I'm going to just strip it off and polish the raw brass.
