I remember it seeming closer from the station, but farther from on the ride.

Use this as a reference:

Maybe make it so it just barely passes tunnel test?

He's saying that from the station, it looked very close, but from on the ride it seemed farther away than it had.

Man I can't wait for this recreation of the ride as this is as close to riding as I'll get for now. I live in Atlanta but will get to Cedar Point one day:-) I have TTD too in my virtual park but this is going to be the best version of the ride for NL>

That's the picture I couldn't find, thank you.

I built the fence in the right spot, somehow my station ended up out of whack (like a lot of my scenery) one day, and it's been interesting getting things put back where they belong.

Glad to hear it's technically useful....Didn't come out too great as a photo though. Wish I had tried taking it again, without the ridiculous sun flare polluting everything.

I'm not trying to be impatient or rude, but will we see an update soon possibly? I'm just really excited!

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Okay, since I'm not a big fan of being mean, I'll at least give you guys an update, which the changes probably aren't too noticeable.

Tents are starting to appear, but need raised up higher.

I finally got around to cutting out the unload station.

I've been having to rebuild a lot of supports, due to some glitch where the track connections got deleted. Footers to come.

The track looks a bit purple...I'm sure you spent time on colors, but they're not quite right...everything else looks beyond amazing, though. I applaud your work on this!

It always looks purple to me.

Grant it not the same shade of purple I have, but still purple. I was really hoping they were going to give it a paint job this year so it would return to Cobalt Blue.

Change the colors a bit. It shouldn't be that purple.

I'd say darken it a wee bit more without straying anymore into the purple territory...

The second looks likes it has a subtle purple tone, I'm going to have to go with the first.

Why don't you find a properly exposed pic of the real ride, and then use the RGB data to set the color? Might take a bit of adjusting, but you'll get much closer than just guessing.

^That would also be guessing. Finding such a picture would be hard to do (as most cameras can color correct by themselves). I would also have to find the right pixel to match the exact color (which is what I have tried to do each time I change the color of the coaster). Then we have the problem with the lighting in NoLimits adjusting the colors, not to mention the color is always different than the true color, which is most evident in the difference between 3DS objects and the color of the rails.

So yes, I'm interpolating.

I don't know, I've gotten fairly close before with wood colors, which should be even harder due to grain and weathering.

Maybe try the outside bottom rail of this, which looks pretty consistent, then go from there adjusting to work in NoLimits.

There are plenty of good pictures on Flickr as well, a lot of them likely taken in RAW with no color correction.
