I know I read somewhere a while back that it was supposed to go 140 - did this get changed? I don't see why it would. It seems odd to me that Dubai wouldn't have just increased the launch speed by 10 mph and the curve radius by a meter so that it could have the fastest coaster. They have the biggest and best everything else....

This seems to imply that the other coaster has a top speed of 125 MPH. Now, Yahoo may not know what they're talking about, since they said 125 MPH is the world speed record.

Last I read it was suppose to go 149mph.

lol, I knew the original title was wrong, which is why I posted it like that. That's why I included the asterisk.

I think Yahoo got their facts wrong. I don't think that the reporters for Yahoo's Auto News should be considered an authority on Roller Coaster stats.

initial rumours said the F1 coaster would be about 150mph. pictures I've seen show it's trimmed right up the first airtime hill, so it's gonna be fast as hell, thats for sure
