I have resumed work on my recreation of manta. I have completely retracked the ride and have gotten through approximately one third of the supports. Heres a picture. How does it look guys?

Change your supports so that you can't see the seam where the beams connect. This'll take a while, but in the end, it's totally worth it, and makes he supports look less amateurish.

Add an extra free node to the end of one (or both) of the beams at the seam to extend that one past the end of the other. If that didn't make sense, I'll post a pic.

Looks good thusfar. Are you going to make 3ds with this? I'd be nice to see it with the custom station and fish tanks.

Time for another update. Well I have almost completed supporting the ride.... to respond to the early comment, i have no 3d software or I would unless someone wants to volunteer. I will have 1 simple 3d that I made long long ago. Here are some pics. What do you think?

Luckily for you I just rode Manta Yesterday! I hope you will do transforming, as the ground being only feet from the riders nearing the end of the ride is a big part of the adrenaline. Other than that the waterfall is probably the key 3D.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Hey those supports look a hell of a lot better! The track doesn't look too shabby, either... [;)]
Anyway, I'd love to do 3ds for you. Can't guarantee anything spectacular, but you can check out my latest ride, Rush, for an example of what I can do. Also note that that station was rushed for time because of the contest.

Thanks.... I would love to do the waterfall. The terraforming is my last step. I will add plants and I would love to create the station and queue. I have ridden manta 87 times so the track should be very close to accurate.

I've never ridden it nor have I ever seen pics of the station, esp. the inside, so if you want me to do 3ds, I'll need a few (preferably more) reference pictures.

ok no problem. The line is immense and elaborately complex..... With caves and tropical theming, waterfalls and full sized aquariums. I'll search my pics and see what I come up with.

That sounds fun. Let me know when you want me to start with a PM or whatever, email, something. I'll get on it pretty quick. I'm a senior in high school, and spring break's coming up, so I have NOTHING to do...

Well I have finished supporting the ride. It is time to make it aesthetically pleasing. Over the next few days I will be creating the landscape and adding topiary. HOW DOES IT LOOK????????

hey that looks pretty good...are you sure your lift supports are accurate? I'm especially concerned with the size of the angled beam...

What I could really use right now scenary wise is some Big trees, and if someone could make some rock 3d's. I also would apreciate a 3d of the pit at the bottom of the pretzel loop. You can find pictures at Johnny upside down.
