A boy (age 10) whom was hit by a bus Thursday afternoon at Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness has died......

When will Disney learn to stop killing its visitors and workers. What is this; the fourth in less then a year?

And yet they're still the most popular destination on the planet....funny how brainwashing works, isn't it?

^Guess you don't like gay mice either. I'll never go back to Disney. Well, maybe groovy mushrooms would be okay. Sucks that he died. But where were the parents? Too lazy to read article.

Oblivious children. That's what this is. Maybe they should have an ad campaign that says "Come to Disney and look both ways before crossing the street kids because a ten year old was run over by a bus." You can't blame Disney. No matter how much you want to.

However, you gotta feel bad for the parents. They probably feel so guilty for letting their kid out in the street when a bus was coming. There is a reason we are taught to look both ways.

This is not Disney's fault. We call these kind of guest "Deer in the headlights". Rather because they get so distracted they forget where they are and get hurt or killed. Hence another reason why operators must be alert and be able to respond at a moments notice.

It's completely true that it's not Disney's fault, however I know a large majority of people will read "Another Death at Disney" and nothing else.

Did you read the story? Obviously not. Its hard to look for cars and/or buses when your riding a bike the same way traffic is flowing.

"Hey, i'll ride my BIKE in the same DIRECTION of flowing traffic in DISNEY, because it's fun!"

"Wahoo!-"-*SPLAT, crunch, crunch.

"Woah, where'd that BUS come from?"

*Thinks to self* "Wow, i'm gonna blame Disney for this somehow"
"Don't be a disability"... yep, still keeping that. :P

Weather or not this is the kids fault, you can guess that there will be a lawsuit forming soon.

Is it, really? It's called TURNING YOUR HEAD.

I've been riding bike since I could walk and once you stop remembering that those large things with engines are more powerfull than you, you're dead meat.

Well..........it's in America...so......you know.

One thing I learned from this was that Florida can also be abbreviated as Fla.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

In the video they say that in 2001 the same busdriver didn't stop for a red traffic-light.

I TOOK THE TIME TO READ THE FULL NEWS STORY. This is a very tragic event and probably preventable if bikers would follow the rules of the road. Bikers should not ride their bikes on sidewalks. Sidewalks are made for pedestrians not bikes. Also a bike is considered a vehicle and should move in the same direction as automobile traffic and obey the same rules that automobiles obey. There are some new roads that actually have bike lanes off to the right side of the road next to the automobile lane. Bike riders should obey all traffic signals just like automobiles. Auto drivers should be on the look out for bike riders and give them the right of way and pass with caution. If this child was riding his bike in the street, like he should have been doing, the bus driver would have paid more attention to him and would have slowed down and proceeded with caution. Since the bike rider was on the sidewalk, the bus driver paid no particular attention to him and when the child turned suddenly into the street without warning and struck the bus, there was nothing the bus driver could do. Here, where I live, bike riders must obey all the traffic laws that automobiles have to obey and use the roads in the same way automobiles use them. That's the law. Don't ride your bikes on sidewalks and don't try to carry an additional rider on the handlebars or back fender, because it's illegal and not a wise thing to do.

And how many people died at all in Disneyland Parks?[devilish]
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

I am sure Disney has enough corporate lawyers to go around. More then likely they will just settle it with cash in the face until they agree to remain quiet.

Hmmm, you'd think people would expect to die at Disney now-a-days. One would expect them to be a tad more alert...

The only reason that Disney World looks like a deathtrap is because there are so many people that visit. No joke there were 4 million people in Magic Kingdom when i was there 2 years ago... so out of the hundreds? of millions of people that visit there every year, only a few get killed. That honestly doesn't seem like a lot to me. Thats like an SUV on an interstate getting hit head on by an asleep truck driver. poop happens.

actually you are supposed to ride ur bike the same direction of flowing traffic on a road. technically, neither the driver or biker was doing anything deliberatly wrong

... That is even more useless than all of my posts containing nothing but the word "oh" combined.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.
