The only way I can see someone favoring MF is if they have an irrational fear of awesomeness.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

i take it you dont like Millennium? like i said before its what i prefer. Im not the only one who likes Millennium more than I305. Last time i checked Millennium has been a top 2 coaster in the world since it opened in 2000. we will see if i305 can do the same in the next ten years.

Well, if I305 didn't have those restraints I'm sure nobody would even doubt that it's better than MF. I personally think it kills MF, but the restraints seriously do take a lot away from the ride...too bad.

i agree with that, with the exception of i prefer the over-banked turns better.

3 things...

1. What do you find wrong with OSTR's? Tell me. I still have no idea where this is coming from. It is a lap bar with soft cushions hanging down from the top of it to prevent you from falling forward. It's not like the head-banging Arrows. It is a safety concern.

2. Honestly, do you like sitting around all day? You know why I ask? Because that is almost what those Over-banked hills feel like it.

I like Millennium Force; don't get me wrong, but this pretty much craps all over it.

^That! I had a better time watching the POV of I305 then I did riding MF (with the exception of the drop)

3.
Thanks for not blasting me.

And everybody else did? This is the first post I attempted to blast you in [:D]

The otsrs are alot worse than they look. They kill your legs when there is any sort of g-force, and then all the airtime and transitions kill your legs due to how tight they are and the fact that they are just round and not shaped to you legs, and create mega sharp pressure on your thighs. The straps i could care less about. But still this looks like its a bit better than millie.

^ There (in a way) could be a reason. I'm a larger guy. I enjoy MF, I have yet to be on I305, but from what I have experienced with Intamin otsrs I would prefer them any day. In my opinion I prefer comfort. I'm not a pussy by any means but its just what I prefer. Everyone has their own option... It sounds like people are trying to persuade Adam to like I305 more than MF. I see no persuading going on. I'm just confused by his analysis that's all. I never said MF was a bad ride, but all it was built for was to break the 300 ft Barrier. There is nothing to it. I305 may not be "innovative" or "record breaking" but god all mighty, I've never seen a coaster do the things that thing does!

I think asking why MF is better isn't persuading at all. I am just wondering why I banked turn 100+ feet in the air is is more fun than a high speed banked turn close to the ground.

I'm actually expecting I305 to take #1 this year. It looks way better than Millennium Force and Bizzaro combined.

I like MF, it is in my top 10 steel coasters list. Also, where did you find that Millennium is number 2? the only places Millennium is number two is after Maverick in the same park or after I305 turns it into a number two and craps it out.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

What is this "crapping it out" stuff. Are you guys really such sheep as to follow anything Robb says? If I were you, I would get as far as possible away from him and any of his influences if you want to sound at all respectable.

They aren't nice OSTR's. That soft cushion, is not soft, It hurts banging it at 60mph, let alone 90mph. The Bar is horrible, it's very strong and gives you about 2cm of space. If you have anything in your pockets, I hope you enjoy having it stabbed into your thighs. They are horrible.

So, if they fit to your legs you wouldn't mind that? I have NEVER had a problem with them with the coasters I've been on (Fahrenheit, Maverick, KK)

1st: That's what she said.

2nd: Yes, your nose hitting the front of the car is so much more comfortable. Would you prefer Arrow or Vekoma restraints? [lol] Really, in a ride that forces you forward that much is pretty necessary. It isn't a "cushion." That was exaggeration. It isn't rock solid, either. Otherwise, they would let you hold onto that part. You are supposed to hold onto the handles on the lap-bar because that is the stronger part. On Fahrenheit, they warned us not to hold onto the OSTR's so that there is no ware and tear on it. Obviously, it has to be soft if they don't want that.

So I finally got to ride I305 while I was at Kings Dominion last week. Rode it twice. Pretty grand ride. Yeah I rode it after they added the trims, but not very surprising they added those - say, what a sensation of blacking out/fainting or w/e while slamming into that turn at the bottom of the initial drop even WITH the trims; BUT THIS SENSATION SURE DOES ADD TO THE THRILL!
